re: SPY SHOT! Reva NXR spotted on Bangalore-Attibele stretch.

Nice scoop Smokey .

Wow ! the new model looks great
Also seems a little bigger than the outgoing model.

And doing 80 ? That's some speed for an electric..
If priced correctly , the economy and ease of operation just might give the first mass electric car to India .

Glued to further reports

Ohh it does look good ..
Just wish they are able to market this properly . It does have some potential in our market , however the real key to its success would be pricing and positioning .

re: SPY SHOT! Reva NXR spotted on Bangalore-Attibele stretch.

Nice catch Anoop!
Hope to see this in a Cabriolet variant too.
80 kmph is quite expected for such a kind of e.vehicle. I mean, it can be balanced well unlike its earlier siblings of reva, which were very small in size to achieve such speeds.
Hope to see it soon in the market.
Yes. Pricing will surely be the deciding factor as we have very good market for such kind of green vehicles.

It looks well rounded and good. Is it still the same inside space wise?

Nice catch Anoop. I believe electric cars could be a game changer for the Indian markets with fossil fuels likely to get pricier by the year. All depends on how well M&M is able to price it. Perfect for an in-city commute.

Its actually the "NXR".

The "NXG" is the "sporty" looking one. Counter-intuitive naming eh?

Nice pics. Thanks!

Contrary to popular belief, the current Reva too cruises at 80 kmph like it can do so all day long, as long as road quality is good. In fact, the only reason I wouldn't personally stay at that speed on the highway (short highway ride, of course) is the absence of strong vacuum-assisted brakes. As far as stability is concerned, it remains surprisingly good!

Of course, there is no doubt that poor road surfaces unsettle the Reva more than they would regular cars, and that's because of its short wheelbase.

You are right, it curises at 80kmph. But becomes unstable and I was always skecptical when trying to apply brakes/ sudden brakes the reason being absence of good braking circuits. Hence resctricting to very small area of operation in the city. Hope this would be sorted out to some extent seeing the sheer size of this new model.

That is very well spotted - that is the Brilliance Auto logo, but your last sentence is also spot-on.

I was out on a ride to Shoolagiri and enroute found this 'dummy baby monster' piercing across the trucks. Immediately started flashing lights to the group asking them to proceed. I had my own sweet time in clicking photos by placing the camera on my tank with self timing speeds of 15seconds! Yes, i was behind that car for about 10minutes. The greedy me decided to overtake and wait ahead at the toll gate. Sadly, the car never made till there. It must have taken a deviation towards the Maini Factory on the same belt.

Yes, it was doing 80kmph all along. The speedo inside car read 78kmph. Pricing is not in the hands of car manufacturers only! IMHO Government should coordinate as well.

The car's handling dint seem all that 'float-ey' when it went over undulations. Hopefully, the road balance issue should be answered this time.

Mahindra small car - spotted in Bangalore

Spotted this Mahindra small car today at Electronic city. It looked almost similar to new REVA.

Re: Mahindra small car - spotted in Bangalore

This is the Reva NXR. I believe Mahindra has bought stakes in the company (Reva) and the NXR is going to be badged as a Mahindra.

Correct me if I am wrong here please..
