I have been following the EV space for quite some years, and in my urge to get into this space, I booked a Comet EV last year. It has been one satisfying year of experience with Comet.
While most EV manufacturers recommend AC charging post 4 consequent DCFC, none have raised this as a warranty flag. What M&M is doing seems like deliberately finding reasons to deny warranty by having such clauses. Even their delivery fiasco of SW updates, key fob change, mandatory chargers etc seems fishy. Not confidence inspiring at the least. Glad I decided against the Be6.

Where do you see in the documentation that they have mentioned that not following the pattern would void the warranty?
Kindly check my message above.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

In a conversation with SA at NBS International Mumbai, he informed me that:
  • M&M has instructed dealers to commence deliveries from March 25th.
  • All EVs allocated to NBS will be delivered to pre-booking customers. Online bookings will be entertained from next lot.
  • Effective April 1st, road tax in Maharashtra will be levied at a rate of 6%. This will further increase the price difference between the XEV 9E Pack 3 Select and Pack 3 (estimated at approximately ₹4.5L) .

That’s not true. I made online booking and choose NBS International Andheri west as my dealer. I did my PDI on eighth March and made the final payment today without insurance. I am going in for self insurance from Acko. I have been promised a delivery date by 25th March.

Sorry forgot to add this. That Mahindra dealer NBS International andheri west has told me that I will have to sign a undertaking that they will be sending me tomorrow for self insurance of my vehicle.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Do you guys think a matte ppf on a black 9E would look good? Or just regular PPF?

If anyone could help create a matte black 9E using photoshop or something, it’s be very helpful.

Also curious about how matte ppf would look on a stealth black. I have also bought a stealth black which got allotted today. If you can get me a 3d model of the car - some detailers can scan the car and create a 3d model, i can do a photorealistic render in blender with matte black paint.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Just got a call from Mahindra. They have delayed delivery for 4-5 days. As per them a technician from Mahindra will come to check the vehicle after the all india software update is complete. DB box has been changed which is scheduled to arrive in 2 days, plus key fob will also be changed. As per him Mahindra wants the vehicles to be in perfect working condition for the best customer experience. Now this is excruciating. I was prepared for delivery tomorrow.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Folks, any inputs on how to care for the interior? Is something like interior PPF there/usefull for the gloss black panels inside? Also, any recommended products for maintaining the white leatherette?

For exterior, I am thinking of PPF for the glossy claddings, and ceramic for paint.

Xpel, Spek,Garware, Bull Armour, llumar were the good brands I came across during my research.

Detailing studios in Delhi:
1) T&R Autoworks - This should be best and most expensive as they usually have a lot of super cars and ultra luxury cars that come to them for detailing and PPF and also have CNC machine for precut PPF so they don’t need to remove any parts

2) Wheel force X studio

3) Galaxy Car Care

4) Detailing Bull in Vasant Kunj or Gurgaon

PPF on all the interior piano black panels. These detailers also have some coating for the car seats and that may be useful. Leather cleaning products are also available from Meguiar.
