IMO Hitachi rocks in the LCD segment compared to Sony/Samsung. Excellent PQ very close to Plasma Quality. They have an offer price of 45K for 32", check it out.

By the way I have booked 42" Hitachi Plasma, waiting for the delivery by tomorrow evening. Will share with you all on the performance.

doctorkats,
I got a LG 32" a few days back for 42500 and am perfectly happy with it. No freebees, just a silly juice mixer thing.
Try at hometown in great india place or Electronics bazaar in Shipra if you want samsung. These guys were offering the best deals on samsung,.
On LG I got this deal from KD audiovision in Sector 16

But in general, their regular top pick sections and combination recos are quite good.

And all magazines should learn product photography from them. A ROTEL or Creek is drool material anyways, but when it appears in What Hi-Fi, their associated ratings of sell-your-kidney-for seems pretty reasonable.
I couldnt quite understand with their picks on looks, the black Onkyo AV receiver was so delicious. And they rated it as disappointing.

Nothing much.. Just been to Girias. Its almost the same. Actually most of the discounts run from Dassera till Diwali.

Tried telling them I don't need the Holiday Package or any of the gifts and asked them if they would reduce the price. They said its not possible.

Without Tata Sky they were willing to give for 2K less for the Samsung brand.

Btw they will charge 2% on credit card payment which is dumb.

I dumped the idea of taking it from my Samsung employee friend as i got a fantastic dealer offer which is unbelievable:

LCD Model: Samsung LA4081RB
Best Negotiated Offer: 80K
Mutti Bhar Offer: They place a bowl with coins (50 paisa, 1, 2, 5 rupee coins) and you grab a handful and they return 10 times of that. I could grab 290 Rupees, so I got 2,900 cash back
Citi-finance offer: 10% cash back. I will get approximately 6.5K back after 4 EMI's are cleared.

Plus Tata sky free and No Credit card swiping charges

I will get the delivery of my LCD today evening. So my 40" Samsung Bordeaux Art LCD effectively costed: Rs.70, 600

Mobike008, congraulations on your new TV.
We don;t mind the phone pictures, but we do mind the massive camera shake in both the pics

Congrats mobike on your new buy..

I'm planning to buy LA37R81B but now also seriously thinking about the 40"
I checked out the website and it looks like the cashback offer was till Oct end only , and the spl prices are till Nov 15.
I'm just planning to go to the showroom and see if I can get the similar deal (around 70K for that Bordeaux art 40")..
Did you buy that from the Samsung auth dealer or something like e-Zone or other dealers....
Other folks in Bangy, can you all please tell me for Bordeaux 37" or 40" where is the good deal available!!

My usage is most of the time cable tv and sometimes movies + X-box..

Thumbs down for LCD technology

Hi All,

I bought a new LA26R71B samsung bordeaux as a second TV at my place in Jaipur which already had a Philips normal 29" CRT working fine for the past 3 years.

I have Dish TV attached to both with separate reciver and dishes connected to each TV.

I feel like LCD technology is like going back 5-10 years rather than improving TV viewing experience. I feel cheated with the experience i had during the India-Pak cricket matches.

The experience was so horrible that i went back to my CRT TV for viewing the matches. The images were shaky and the criket ball would leave a trail. Infact any fast moving object seems to have the same problem on the LCD TV. I still cannot understand why this technology is being pushed down our throught with HDTV being a dream right now.

We have 10 52" plasma's at our office and i've watched the T-20 series on it and the plasma technology sure way ahead of LCD.

I would anytime vote for Plasma, than CRT and last of all LCD. Just to put this in that i did try all modes and settings available in the samsung TV, but the total experience was horrible and LCD TV's are not worth watching the regular content.
