No, I think I beat him to it.

No, that's $1000 more, considering I have 14-54mm, it is not an optimal upgrade.

I think we all know better cameras don't make better photos. Yeah, it will be hard to resell the E-500 in India although it is a brilliant camera. I won't sell it for a song, better keep it as backup.

Go one step better. Mod it for IR. Just get that filter removed, or remove it yourself

Chossing Nikon L10 / L11

Based on these requirements, I'm narrowing down to the Nikon L10 (5MP) or the L11 (6 MP) depending on the price difference.

Price quoted on Online Shopping India – Shop Online for Apparels, Jewellery, Cameras, Mobiles, MP3 Players from homeshop18 for the
L10 - Rs 5500
L11 - Rs 7200

Any comments? Is this a good buy?

Thanks.

I think a 5-6 megapixel model with the standard 3x optical zoom will meet his need quite well.

Congrats Samurai for the E-3. And, great samples of E-3. However, the color tone of the zoo shots ( especially the parrot shot) looked a little toned down ( meaning not as crisp and bright as maybe it should have been) or maybe its photoshop job.

Sigh! That's a $2200 lens, you have to be a pro to need that lens. I am yet to fully exploit my 50-200mm.

Thanks, I think it will be one month before I can lay my hands on it. It has to travel from US to India.

It will reach my US office by this week. But my boss is not due to visit here until next month.

Did somebody here say Olympus is crap?
I'm off to get the war paint.
