From a noise perspective, Fuji makes the best digicams. Their ISO 1600 is the cleanest and for small prints even ISO 3200 is usable! (I am talking about the F11-30-30d series as well as the 6900etc.,)

The S3 is reported to be noisy at higher ISO's. Reviews recommended that the S3 be used upto ISO 200 to be safe.

Yes, but when I compared noise levels across comparable cams like S2, H2, H5, it was quite acceptable or better since it does less in camera processing than the others and does not lose detail.

I have taken fairly decent pictures in low light where flash was not allowed at ISO 400/800 and then used Neat Image/ Noise Ninja to get very acceptable results.

Mostly with today's technology, there is really very minor differences between most comparable cameras and unless one is a total pro, should not matter much. Like cars, best way is to test drive / click as much as possible and then decide.

From the reviews and all S3 seems to have a very film like grainy noise at higher ISOs. when comparing noise in H2/H5 or other Superzooms i'd prefer film like Grain than digital artifacts.

my list goes some thing like this :

1. Fuji FinePix S5100, 4 MP , 10X optical zoom.

u can check this link for the review:
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilms5100/

2. Cannon PowerShot A610, 5MP, 4x optical zoom.

review link:
http://www.dpreview.com/news/0508/05...ona610a620.asp

Tv or the shutter speed adjustment in the cannon is amzing, u can take pics in pitch dark with slower shutter speeds (may be 15 seconds)

3. Sony Erickson T610 cam phone, though pretty handy but disgusting quality.
can take decent pics outdoors.

Camera repair shop in Noida?

Hi folks,

Is there any good camera repair shop in Noida? I own a Canon PS A590 and it has got some problem with its lens. the lens tube doesn't come out fully and lens cover remains shut slightly. Its a mechanical problem and I owe it to my poor handling of the equipment.

Thanks

Hi,

I have 2 quesries one is digital camera query. I need a digital camera for around 12k. I heared sony DSCs 600 is 6 megapixel and is good buy. I want to know whats its price ?

On ebay its available for around 9.5k with 512 MB card but sony dealers in my town do not have it (Havent checked the Sony world. they are always costly). I want to know do that can this camera record too at a good quality not that good but should be ok. Better than mobile and resolution should be a bigger. And wats the maximum card size this cam can take ?

Second query is how are PanaSonic CamCoders ? I was watching GadgetGuru they they were showing Panasonic DVD camcoder which was for around 23k ? Can someone shed light on this too please.

Also anyone can suggest a good digital camera other than sony for 10k + 2k for the card.

I have a Sony DCR-HC 30 for video

Just bought a Canon Digital IXUS 850 with Image stabilization and a 2 GB SD card. Yet to get it though, my friend needs to land back in the country!

Just added a big lens to my collection, the Olympus Zuiko 50-200mm F2.8/3.5. With magnification factor of 2 and a 1.4x teleconverter, I can get to 560mm now.

Thanks for the compliment. I wish it was that simple, besides I just got this lens yesterday. It might take few months before I learn to use this lens properly.

Used a Sony Cybershot T72, 3x opt zoom 3.2mp, for three years. No problems except one set of bogus batteries sold to me that used to drain out after ten shots, and I valiantly tried to use them for a year before buying myself a great set of Camelion AA rechargeables.
Now I have a Sony DSC H5, lovely machine, super LCD screen, 12x opt zoom, 7.2mp . This a pre-Christmas gift from the wife!
