Yeah, SWD is interesting, could be pricy though. Both 14-54 and 50-200 are fantastic lenses, well worth the money. Actually all high grade series lenses are really good.

They are all over in the non-auto image thread, but you can start with my BHP garage.

See this guys.... RAW support for a Canon P&S!!!! I think I should start a seperate topic on this...

Riju, Hellcat, E_T : I'm going through pretty much the same confusion here, in Dubai. The Sony T20 comes in the same range as the Canon 850XS (hope i got that right!) and to me the only extra it has is the Wide Angle Lens.

Whats ur opinions on the T20? It says it has Double Anti Blur protection, and also face recognition. You guys think i should go ahead with the T20, or look at the Canon?

I dont think that double anti-blur is optical stabilization... it would just pump up the ISO to get a shot resulting in noise.

Of the two I would suggest Canon, it has optical IS and a lot more.

The only issues I have with the ultra compact camera, were the fingerprints on both the LCD and Lens. Since there is no grip to hold the camera.

If you are looking at a Ultra Compact and Pocketable, both the cameras are good with canon having an edge over Sony with the IS (Image stabilizer).

If you are ok with a little bigger and heavier and want a megazoom focal lengths, do look at the Canon S3 IS ( high-quality image-stabilized 36-432mm zoom lens a terrific value for money).

Hellcat

Samurai,

Where did you buy all those lens / stuff from?
Photospeed in Bangalore is not very interesting. He doesn't even keep E-500 batteries. :(

Look for some bridge cam.. namely super zooms. The best bet right now is the Canon S3 IS and since S5 has come out, it will be cheap to buy too. Last I heard, in delhi S3 IS available for 13k+, grey. Do prepared to spend 2-3 k's extra for rechargable batteries, charger, high capacity SD card and camera pouch.

Thanks for reply mate , I will check that out , though on site they have quoted 21k for same with 4 GB card , camera pouch and rechargable batteries.
Any other suggestion guys???

I bought everything from Amazon.com, shipped to my US office address, and then got somebody to bring it here.

Try this place, they are the authorised Olympus dealers.

I would like to recommend Fujifilm digital camera model F40, with 8.3 megapix, 2.5" view screen with many interesting features. It has fantastic picture quality, with 2 gb memory card, can store 1000 snaps,
or 30-40 min video recording. All easy to use features and camera side
is also small.

S3 IS anyday... as far as price are concerned the Kodak would be a little cheaper.
