Folks,

can someone guide me here:
DealExtreme.com has given me a HK post tracking number. I cannot get the tracking number for India Post/Speedpost from the same.

Can anyone help from their experience or guide me? or should I just wait?

So far we all wait as we have noticed in metro city process is bit fast.....

Not much difference, You will save about 2-3$ for each if you order about 10pieces.

Just tell them you were expecting a parcel from HK and you haven't received it yet. Take a copy of the invoice and the tracking number, also your ID and address proof, Ask" netfreakbombay" he collected his GPS dorectly from the post office.

You never know about the brand and quality at alibaba, GPS from DX is bought by many people and any problem arising can be solved in a jiffy.

Problem with the Chinese suppliers are the payment. I've tried it before - but they don't accept credit card, paypal etc. Some companies are even willing to send you a free sample (if you use a company name and address) if you pay the shipping. But again they don't accept normal payment method. If you have an account with DHL, Fedex, UPS etc and give them your account no. they will ship it to you.

I guess you have not used their ticket system. If you have a problem with your PND they will ask you to return the faulty unit and will not even offer to pay the return postage. If you disagree they may agree to pay the return postage. If the item is cheap (couple of $) then they will just send you a replacement but if it is expensive then they will want you to return the item.

I can't afford a half day off on a weekday for this. Let it be. I'll wait for my friends in Indiapost to deliver

Same here, can't afford to take time off from office. However, tomorrow is a holiday for me. Will sure try and walk into the post office to find out.
