Let mr see how it goes! I think the bootloader has already been unlocked by the supplier in order to crack it.
HTC One is a great phone. I just got one on 15 Aug and I must say that it is the best phone I have ever held in my hand. I previously had a Lumia 800 which my son has now gratefully taken. What I miss is the simplicity of Windows Phone software and the tile format (looks fresh in my opinion), but that is more than compensated by the sheer joy of holding HTC One and using the more advanced Android 4.2.2. Do not care much about apps though but even then, there are more essential apps to my liking in Android than in windows.

Hi Guys, I would like your inputs on the P780 - Link
It has a Li-Po 4000 mAh battery, anyone used this and let us know if this would be a better bet than than Canvas 4

Thanks

What were the damages?
Are you buying locally or shipping it from US?

I have been using the P770 which is the earlier version of 780 for the past 6 months. Very happy with it. Build, speed, screen quality, battery life are all very good and doesn't hang even it is loaded with apps. Games run smoothly. Battery is bit smaller at 3500mAh. Was planning on a Note 2 but this was much much cheaper and I feel more VFM. Both SIMs are used regularly without probs.

Had also considered the then version of Canvas but heard of quality issues.

Based on my experience with P770, would wholeheartedly recommend the P780.

I have been quoted Rs. 7000 from Samsung Service Centre for replacing the cracked screen of my Galaxy S4. Anyone knows if that's the genuine price? I'm looking only at a genuine Samsung screen.

I believe it should be genuine price.
Recently read a guy got his Nexus N4 screen replaced for 6k. So for S4 7k sounds fine.

Thanks will check this out, I am currently thinking about the Micromax Canvas A116 based on its review from many, let me check the Xolo Q800 aswell and see which one turns out better for my sis.

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

I have a question about using phones like HTC One, S4 CDMA, etc. with Reliance CDMA.
Leaving aside the legalities, if I already have a Reliance CDMA SIM which I am using in a low end handset, when I wish to change it to the imported ones like HTC one, S4, does the phone need any reprogramming or I can just insert the CDMA SIM and expect it to work?
Anyone tried this first hand?

Appears to be genuine. Nokia Care has quoted Rs. 7,680/- to replace the cracked screen of my son's Lumia 720. When asked about the high cost, they explained that the LCD display and the glass screen are integrated, so it is not possible to just replace the screen.

1. Whether Newer Mobiles come with DDR2 RAMs? 2. Auto Focus Camera

Whether Newer Mobiles come with DDR2 RAMs? Or is it Marketing Gimmick?

In the Specifications of Some New Mobiles, I have seen as 512 MB DDR2 RAM. Is it better than 1GB RAM that the New Mobiles come with? Or am I unaware that the 1GB RAM too is DDR2?

EDIT: -
Is the IBall 4.7 G Cobalt the only Smartphone with Front Auto Focus Camera?
The Websites of Iball and Ebay.in say so.

My cousin earlier had a low end Samsung phone for his Tata Indicom connection. The phone went kaput and now he uses a Galaxy Y CDMA, just plug and play. Your case should be no different IMHO.

Thanks. I confirmed that the SIM is an 'OMH' SIM and the current status is: will work with prepaid GSK.

Hope this means I just pop the SIM in a high end CDMA device and voice calls should work just fine.
Data may nor may not work - not sure about that on Reliance.

Ya even I am not sure about the data thing. Voice calls should be fine. Best way to find out would be to try yourself.

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

I recently bought 2 Samsungs going against popular advice.
Both the phones are good and we are enjoying them except for 1 issue.
My Samsung Core I8682 hangs once a day and I have to do a battery pull to reset it.
Wife has a Samsung Duos S7562 and it does not hang but sometimes shows no network, even though she is able to receive SMS.

Both phone are only about 10 days old and received OTA updates when first started.
Core is running Android 4.1.2 and Duos on 4.0.4

Any ideas if this is a software issue and would go away in future updates?

Sorry, forgot to add that "Does IBall 4.7 G Cobalt is the only Smartphone that has Front Auto Focus Camera under 20K?".
