Great pricing. The '+2' tag on it's seating will be a great way to get footfalls to see it. Advertising it as a hatch might not have gotten people interested. I hope it's spacious at the rear for people without getting their heads banged against the rear door.

Should also offer roof rails to give it a slightly sporty look.

The proverbial cat has been set among the pigeons. This will setup a fierce fight in the 5 - 10 lac segment. The Sedans and even the hatchbacks will feel the heat.

As this is Mahindra's I dont expect any petrol engine, oh my, poor little Brio. This pricing and space, should beat the Beat outta shape. . Suddenly my Figo is seemingly like a unwise buy.

Hopefully all of this, leads to some kind of price corrections in the market and this launch should end up benefiting the buyer.

Anyways, this effectively takes the title of the most powerful Diesel small car from Punto!

One question (if anyone can answer): Why add costs using 2 Turbos? Wouldn't a VGT cost lesser? Or is it the opposite? There are cars which make more power from a 1.5 CRDI block using just 1 VGT (Duster / Fluence) but they do cost more.

I would bet the Figo and Brio are far better bets on safety front! I would never regret either of them.

Lets wait for our superstars to come out with official review - till then, i would only say prices are good. But are they good for what it offers, is the big question that can only be answered out here

Very very good pricing IMHO. Off course it could have been better if it was less by 20 K Yeh Dil always mange more & more !!!

It looks like grown up wagon R. Its pricing clearly shows it is directly targeted at Diesel hatchbacks like Swift, i20, Punto, Figo, Fabia, Polo, Liva etc. It will also dent sales of the cars like new Dzire, Indigo CS. I guess its a great car for that price. Looking at the videos, i am very impressed. Car really looks very promising. I guess fit & finish has also improved. I am sure it will easily do 5K + sales every month. I guess Mahindra is targeting to become No 2 manufacturer in India now. I don't think that day is far away

Isn't the guy in the video that sadistic fella from that show on Zee Tv, hmm not a very smart casting choice Mahindra, but heck who's going to remember the video when those mouth watering prices get stuck in memory.

Looks and interior wise I will be honest the car is not ugly but it is one of those you have to know me to fall in love with me types, hey but at those prices WYSIWYG.

Will wait and see how the market reacts to this, October's sale's figures will be quite enlightening.

Kerb weight is 1640 kg for Quanto which is more than Innova for inferrence.
Also with cr100 engine 0-100 km comes in 17.4 secs(from ACI).

Oh my, the Duster looks way , way toooo expensive now!!! Excellent headroom (something I hated in the Duster!).

Only thing the Duster may score over the Quanto could be the ride quality, then again, how many mango janta is really worried about this aspect??

Mahindra has a ready made winner here!!

Excellent pricing by Mahindra. This is bang in the zone of premium hatchbacks. I only hope its possible to get rid of the last row of seats at the factory itself and make it a proper comfortable and spacious 5-seater with ample luggage space.
