Indeed. The ABS kicking in while suddenly braking/swerving has saved us from smashes/crashes/scrapes many times. I am completely satisfied with the braking and sudden stops. While it's no Rapid (braking benchmark), it has plenty of bite and punch.

Had a talk yesterday with the ASM and he said they were expecting the new City in dealerships for RTO approval in the latter part of December 2013. Deliveries will commence from mid-January onwards. Tier I cities should get it earlier.

My booking number is 5. Strangely, I am the first one to book the City diesel. All 4 before me have booked the petrol.

In my 3 yrs of shuttling to Korba, noticed that private Cars in C.G have mostly been Petrol, barring only the Swift 1.3.

It's not best in class, but it's quite good and I'm confident while braking hard, which is so important. ABS does make a big difference when braking hard, and I highly recommend anyone buying a new car pick one with ABS.

I agree with you. The brakes dont have enough bite in them. Im always extra careful while driving the ANHC at higher speeds just because of the not so good brake and it really hampers the driving experience at times. I hope Honda has addressed this issue in the new City.

Braking in the Honda City '08 was up to the mark, not as good as the ones on the Skodas, but still was nothing short of what one would expect, afterall, it has saved my life on many occasions!

Ride on my dad's 2009 City is still thrashy, so he now drives around with a tyre pressure of 25 PSi! And one more thing is that the Wheel covers make a very rattley sound on bad roads, which is audilbe only if u drive with your windows rolled down though.

I took it to the service centre after a hill station drive, wheer I actually noticed it, and the service centre guys told it is indeed normal and occurs in all the Honda City i-vtec models. Hope supension is sorted to have a European ride with this generation.

I read on the 2014 Fit / Jazz thread that the car has been benchmarked with Polo. Hence I hope they have worked on the suspension as well. Since City will be based on the Jazz, we can expect those traits to be carried on to the City as well right?

I really hope they have a very well sorted out car this time.

Guys a test mule has been spotted in Thailand!!
Looks really big for a Honda City though. The hidden badges seem to be Honda.
If this is the car, then i think its going to be a huge hit.

Looks more like the new Honda Accord that is expected in 2014.

I'm not even sure that's a Honda. The design cues from the front look like a Hyundai. Also Honda logos now appear on the front grill and not on the bonnet. Not to mention as other people have said, it's too large and I see no design ideas common with the Jazz.

This image has been making the rounds for a fair amount of time now. But I havent seen anyone dismiss this as not being THE ONE.

To be honest, this DOES tick all the boxes of the rumors thus far, like:

Twin barrel headlamp treatment (projectors)
Wrap around tail lights
Prominent crease a la Crider
Some clues on Exciting H design concept like the winged grill

So who knows, this may well be it.

I think we should stop speculating. As has been rightly said by skyfire2892 the car is with the ARAI so we should get spy shots soon! We only have a two week wait.
