Yes. Im looking at latest brochure which was given to me. It has all brakes. Im looking at link sent. In safety select 1.4 tab and check. It is mentioned as disc brakes.

I think you may be correct & looks like someone at Hyundai has goofed up their specification page. Look at the screenshots attached; the Brochure & Safety pages talk about All Around Discs while the Specifications page for 1.6 says Rear are Drums. Look at the attached screenshots!

Congratulations on your car! Do update tomorrow with your ownership report & do update on whether there're discs all around!

It will be really interesting if this facelift makes to India. Front looks very sharp and lot like the new Corolla.

Indeed it is disc brakes all around. I am driving this beauty for 2 months now and I can see the disc brakes clearly.

the actual changes are (just brought the CRDi SX AT last week):
- Diamond cut alloys x 4, with the 5th a steel rim. Previous fluidic had all alloys
- DLRs and Auto lighting is there, but those are in the SX(o) only, which is 1.25L + over the SX; and has leather seats, intelligent rain sensors cum wipers
- Disc brakes all around, with ABS and EBD
- 2 airbags, with SX(o) having 6

I am certainly glad that Hyundai has retained the Disc brakes & 6 Airbags for the current model year & didn't cheap out. For that at least, they get my kudos.

For the next iteration of Verna, can we have ESP, TCS & Brake Assist WITHOUT charging a bomb please?

I have taken delivery of white SX(o). It has all four disc brakes with 6 airbags. completed 900 kms including a highway drive. Since manual suggested to be within 85 kms for first 1000 kms i didnot try to puh it too hard. It returned me 17 kms/lt with 100% AC. can didnot bottomout anywhere including monstrous humps of mysore bangalore highway nor bad roads of coorg. car handled pretty well.

Now comes the funniest omission on 2014 vs 2013 verna apart from backseat center headrest. its CRDi badge on passenger side fender. Me like how much would it cost.

To be frank even everyone claims it, but i'm yet to see it in brochures and even online. Only way i can confirm is wait for rain to come and i prove the feature is actually there.

Wel, an easier way is to throw a bucket of water on the windshield with the engine switched on. That way we can find out right now.

If you are interested in upcoming Verna, you can visit Hyundai Solaris official Russian website (you can have Google translate the website if required)
http://www.hyundai.ru/Solaris

I am looking forward to Hyundai launching 6 speed automatic transmission with facelifted Verna later this year or early 2015.

Re: 2013 Hyundai Verna Fluidic gets minor updates. And some omissions

I just spoke to my dealership and they quoted me 46,000 rs per headlamp for the 2014 headlights , this was also verified by a member here on another thread. Definitely this is way over priced for halogens no matter how good they look.

6 speed AT if provided with the face-lift would be from Elantra; both cars share the same engine already, with this combination available in Verna, Elantra might have to feel the heat.

Though looking at the competent AT offerings in C1 and C2 segment, this move is required in order to keep Verna selling against the peers.

Cheers
