Re: More powerful Tata Aria with 150PS & 320 Nm

During our visit to their Pune plant I saw a MUV under wrap in one of their facility. Profile looked close to ARIA, looks like they are doing some major exterior mods.

Wrong. Both 4WD and 2WD variants are ENCAP rated. They are sold in Italy, Spain and Cyprus. If anyone has access to vehicle exports out of India, you could double check.

Check out the EcoSport AT safety kit then ;-)

Have you found the recliner yet? You deserve a medal if you discover how to recline the 2nd row in 2 minutes of commencing search!

Nope, haven't found it even after a few months.

My information comes from Team BHP's own review of the 4x2 Tata Aria.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offici...ve-review.html

This review and many others including ACI's states that the 4x2 Aria is not Euro NCAP rated.

Please provide your information source where it states the 4x2 variant is sold in Italy, Spain and Cyprus. As far as I know only the 4x4 variant is sold in EU countries.

Bro is in shipping. Have seen the VIN no wise manifests of most manufacturers. Obviously cannot share the data here but it is hard black and white data :-)

At the top edge of the seat back, close to the windows on both sides you will see a small ribbon or tape like a bra strap (closest description I could think of :-p ).

Push the seat back slightly and pull the bra strap. Hey presto the seat reclines!

Re: More powerful Tata Aria with 150PS & 320 Nm

While the bling-bling Aria seen in the above posts looks terrible, another purposeful Aria was showcased - the auto version. The interiors have brushed aluminum inserts instead of the gawky faux-wood and looks a lot better. Wish the dashboard was more darker than the gray. Plus the variant is a Pleasure version. Thus AT seems to be not restricted only to the top variant as is the case usually.

Re: More powerful Tata Aria with 150PS & 320 Nm

Tata has cut the price of Aria further by 1lakh, bringing it to ₹8.95 Lakhs now.

Seems Tata Motors is going into price war mode, even Nano prices were cut by 50k recently. Firstly, hats off to their finance management team. Financially they're a very well managed company and such offers will not put them in any extraneous financial stress.

IMO Aria needs to be given ABS in the base variant and they should put up hoardings with comparo against Innova like they have in their website. Price cut wasn't necessary, it had its initial issues, but now after the recent improvements, IMO it's a brilliant car and capable of competing with Innova any day even in terms of reliability.

But still, favourable move on price cut coz consumer wins (and it also keeps their plants running).

Looks like the Tata website is still not updated with this new price. Would like to know how much the Pride 4x4 would now cost.

Re: More powerful Tata Aria with 150PS & 320 Nm

Wow - that price is closer to the Ertiga territory now.

From what I have heard and seen, Aria seems to be a very capable car, niggles notwithstanding.

Wonder what that AMC package is all about? Does one pay money upfront?

Last month a fellow member updated the negotiated price of the Pride 4x4 to 16.2L OTR in Bangalore. I guess it should be 15.2L to 15.5L now. Solid VFM I'd say!

True! ~11L OTR in Bangalore is a serious deal!

Yep, pay a small amount upfront and all the regular maintenance is taken care of by the company. One of the exceptionally good things TATA Motors offers.

Really amazing car but is there anyone out there who can verify the reliability of the updated Aria?

It is a great price but also shows desperation by TATA to sell those vehicles that are in the inventory from long time

Depends on what you mean by long time since the facelifted Aria is pretty new

Facelifted aria was introduced in Feb (if i am not wrong) and Aria is pitted against XUV and innova ; sales figures from march till august as per TBHP sales analysis

Month : March , April , May , June , July, August

Aria : 87 , 76 , 196 , 108 , 201 , 242

XUV : 3525 , 2877 ,2946 , 3035 , 2813 , 2804

Innova : 3232 , 3590 , 5560, 5377 , 5591 , 5028

Now surely they expected better numbers and will have inventory that needs to be cleared as Statistics speak for themselves

P.S I really hope, Indian manufacturers succeed as they are more value for money unlike say Innova
