Forget about the initial image of Safari, that it is a high maintainence vehicle; TATA wasn't even able to defend that. Where in, Safari actually demands for regular (read timely) services: nothing else. TATA's simply cannot defend their own products. SAD.

Zilch R&D from JLR will be used in the Aria/Hexa, mainly because it's learning's are too treasured to waste into a product that has such a high risk of failure.

A few inputs will be sought, though that'd be only for all new products that are being built ground up from scratch.

I'd suggest people not to think companies are so naïve that they can't address problems - they just lack the will to commit, else instead of reducing prices, they should've taken the risk of failure onto themselves & tightened the internal controls at the ASC.

TATA didn't care if people struggled at the ASC.

Let's see if they actually provide brilliant warranty as being hinted.

Re: Tata Hexa @ Geneva Motor Show 2015. An Aria-based Crossover!

a category like Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey is non existent in the Indian market as of today. Hexa seems a worthy vehicle to fill that space. With the kind of features and pics, i strongly feel they have a winner here. They should however, have strict parameters in maintaining Service quality. I am no market expert, but a toyota strategy might help Hexa.

Start the pricing for the vehicle let's say top version at 12L ex showroom - gain popularlity and mass appeal that its a reliable vehicle and create the demand - then keep increasing the price to reach profitability. Would also help in the resale of the car. I am eagerly looking forward for the launch.

Spotted the test mule a couple of days back near Thermax Chowk, which is close to the Chinchwad, TATA plant. Looks massive and more mature than the Aria.

I think you are mis informed.. The Storme, the Aria and all other products have been getting constant improvements, iteration by iteration and in between model and year changes also. Tata has always been improving their products. Their only crime, launching products hastily into the market before the bugs had be erased, especially in case of the Indica and Safari, but not any more.
Today if one takes his/her Aria or Storme for all regular servicing, there is no problems with the car. When and as the Hexa and new Suvs will be launched, they will get inputs from JLR or elsewhere.

What a coincidence, we saw the same vehicle in Pune couple days ago on 26 Sep around 8pm somewhere near the Bombay Sappers campus, we were on our way back to Bombay and saw this test mule that happened to be going in the same direction for a kilometer or so.
Has good presence and stance, the doors seemed to have a set of bulging parallel lines, reminded me of the Scorpio.
Here are a few pictures, pardon quality as they were taken by me in a hurry and with a mobile phone

Re: Tata Hexa @ Geneva Motor Show 2015. An Aria-based Crossover!

Aren't the tail lamps different than what the concept has?

Also the fuel cap seems to be on the wrong side.

Tail lamp looks like Hexa to me. (aria has different lamps see this link http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attach...afacelift2.jpg)

They look different due to The padding & camouflage.

If this is how Hexa will look, good job Tata for sticking to the concept. And may I say, making it look better!

Re: Tata Hexa @ Geneva Motor Show 2015. An Aria-based Crossover!

Thumbs up to TATA for this handsome design. the car already had massive road presence and thanks to cladding it looks superb and lets not forget the power bulge on the bonnet. I wish this is the final design and enters into production.

AFAIK, Autocar India has carried an initial (p)review of the Hexa in September edition. Do check it for full details. Unable to get a link of the same. Should be online anytime now.

Re: Tata Hexa @ Geneva Motor Show 2015. An Aria-based Crossover!

Move aside Sierra and Safari, this is simply the best looking Tata ever!

I really hope the build stays true to the chunky, solid looks though, and the price is realistic.

Re: Tata Hexa @ Geneva Motor Show 2015. An Aria-based Crossover!

With those looks, I would definitely pay a premium over Safari and Innova. I am assuming that a lot of features like the Harmon Kardon system, safety packages and goodies will go into this vehicle justifying the premium paid.
I daresay that this vehicle will have as much road presence as that of a Fortuner, if not more.

Re: Tata Hexa @ Geneva Motor Show 2015. An Aria-based Crossover!

Awesome transition from concept to production.

The rear (C-Pillar on-wards) doesn't match up to the rest of the car.

The wipers should be hidden from view at this prince point.
