There is no change in engine or performance numbers of the previous gen manual petrol and the current one. So it should behave pretty much the same. It is a competent engine, but nowhere in the league of the 1.2 TSI in the AT version.

Do you remember model number of OEM head unit that came with Vento CL. I was not able to find this in the latest Vento brochure but the same is mentioned in 2014 Vento ebrochure

I am sorry, can't remember.

Talking about the colors, saw a silver one yesterday in Bangalore and it looks fabulous. Worth considering for any prospective buyer.

I just did my pre-registration PDI today for my HL TDI DSG

I was surprised with the stubby antenna -- is it something new now ?

Could not get the car opened since the SE hadn't got the key

Khungrajulashunzz! Exactly the same thing happened with me. The SA didn't bring the keys and I thought that was matter of fact.

I did dangle with the blue for a while. Nice color. Happy miles!

And yeah, that's not a stubby antenna. In fact there is no antenna and it would be fixed before delivery

The dealer is yet to put the threaded aerial on top of the base.

I'm so excited - still need to wait few days for the registration given the holidays.

But one more question; pardon my excitement! How about the red "I" of the TDI in the picture above ? That is something that I have never noticed before on a Vento.

This was discussed in some other thread, I was not able to find the link.
I believe red designated more power. More letters in red would mean more powerful engine.

I found this earlier, not sure if its relevant for India specific models

I can understand your excitement.

However, the red I had been there on the Vento always. Not sure if that means power. The Jetta TDI has a blue I actually.

Thats right. Sai Mag Wheels is the go to place for the momos. I got their Delhi number from their website who then gave me the Bangalore agent. Sure they would have someone in Baroda or Abad!

Did you check if it is possible to replace black strip in the rear bumper with the chrome one that comes with Highline variant?

Black strip is not so prominent in dark color but sticks out in white or other light color.
