It may not be have radical design like Fluidic Verna but its definitely not same as that model or 4s.

Note: New Verna starts at Rs 7.99 lakhs for base perol (E version).
Isn't this the stuff what facelift are made of? A new generation has to look drastically different. For example difference between Honda City 1st gen to 2nd gen and 2nd gen to 3rd gen.

Next Gen Verna Prices - Ex Delhi

The 2017 Hyundai Verna. Launched at 8 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi-verna.jpg

These are introductory prices with price protection for the first 20000 customers

The E, EX variants and petrol SX variant falls under 10 lacs. Overall I feel Hyundai have priced it right, the old gen SX (O) diesel was Rs. 11.85, the new gen is Rs. 12.40. For 55K more you get sunroof, ventilated seats and projector fog lamps along with a new dash layout.

First in segment features

# Ventilated seats
# Hands free smart trunk
# Projector fog lamps

re: The 2017 Hyundai Verna. Launched at 8 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi

Honestly this sounds more like a face lift than an actual next-gen upgrade. Mainly the engines are the same. It does look a bit more roomy though.

Maybe I'm a bit salty because I own a 2016 4S Verna and I'm kinda jealous of the new model I dunno.

Are there any exchange offers for people with older models?

re: The 2017 Hyundai Verna. Launched at 8 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi

The pricing is introductory for the first 20000 units only.
Source: http://www.news18.com/news/auto/hyun...e-1498295.html

Still a smart start but after the initial Euphoria of introductory price one has to see how the sales numbers go by after 6 months or an year.

With this pricing they have definitely brought Verna back on buyers radar. Features is a strong point, Hyundai claims that the new car has best nvh levels in its class. After the review start flowing in we will come to know about the drive quality which is an area where previous generation was lacking as compared to accomplished rivals.

Just to compare, what are ARAI Fuel efficiency figures ?

Much better pricing than the predictions. Seems like Hyundai is ending the step-motherly treatment to Verna.

Did a quick comparo of the outgoing model pricing vs the Verna 2017.

Well done Hyundai.

PS- Please let me know if the prices mentioned are incorrect. I have taken Verna 4S prices from Hyundai website and Verna 2017 prices from TBHP.

re: The 2017 Hyundai Verna. Launched at 8 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi

The pricing is spot on. And the looks of the car too, seems to have grown on me now. Only thing I really hope is addressed in the new Verna is that soft and cushy suspension setup for a matured setup that feels better at speed.

Most reviews keep saying 'much better than the old Verna' which is not a very confidence-inspiring yardstick. I would be happy to see how it compares to its direct competition.

PS: The diesel AT pricing makes the Skoda Rapid Monte-Carlo launched this morning seem very over-priced!

re: The 2017 Hyundai Verna. Launched at 8 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi

Very good pricing by Hyundai. They are undercutting the Honda City Petrol models by Rs 40 to 50K and in case of diesel by Rs 70K. While City diesel only available from SV model starting at Rs 10.7 lakhs, Verna has 2 models (E and EX) with ex-showroom less than Rs 10 lakh price. I wonder if they keep the EX diesel ex-showroom price at the same Rs 9.99 lakhs in other states as well to benefit consumers from state taxes.

If I am in the market for petrol, I would still go with City, but for diesel then it will be new Verna.

I have had the Verna 4S for over 2 years and not once have I got nervous while on high speed.
It may not be in the league of the 'dead' fiesta but when compared to the direct competitors, Ciaz and City, it is no different. Certainly the handling cannot be termed to be a deal breaker. Yet, people continue to point it out.
Is it lack of knowledge or just plain hatred which makes people say such things.
What speeds are we talking about here? I feel pretty nervous above 110km/s but I haven't really gone above that speed too much to check how the car handles.

As a fellow 4S Verna owner, what are your thoughts on this new model? Do you feel like upgrading?

re: The 2017 Hyundai Verna. Launched at 8 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi

Very good pricing. They have undercut honda city top automatic variant by more than 1 lac.

Honda City ZX AT (Petrol)- 13.38 lakhs
Hyundai Verna SX(O) AT- 12.23 lakhs

As CIAZ and City don't have diesel AT. So comparing with Vento and Rapid Diesel AT and they have cut vento by again 1 lac
Vento Highline Plus AT Diesel - 13.66 lakhs
Skoda Rapid Style AT Diesel - 12.77 lakhs (13.58 lakhs for Monte carlo)
Verna SX+ AT Diesel - 12.62 lakhs

Please note: Verna AT diesel top model lacks features compared to manual top model

All prices are ex-showroom prices sourced from carwale
