High time to launch it - yes, but if M&M itself is thinking that the car is not yet ready, better don't push them for an immediate launch. We know how the TUV owners are continuing the testing that M&M was supposed to do before launch

Swati Khandelwal tweets that Mahindra & Mahindra will reportedly unveil it's U321 MPV to the world on 18th April.

This vehicle can easily step into the shoes of the old-Innova, it has got the dimensions (Photo comparison only) and the seat count and appearance.

Mahindra already have a very good 7-seater monocoque platform with them, used in the XUV. If only they share the engine as well, in the lower tune is fine as well!

The 1.5 for a vehicle of this size and its intended application is a bit neither here nor there.

Somehow I think the unveiling date is too good to be true. I spoke to someone related to the development of U321, he was indicating the launch will be in June-2018. But there could be just an unveiling function and later formal launch will happen in June.

But till now, there is no official word from Mahindra and there is no hint of pre-launch activities. Also, all other media houses are yet to report about the next week's unveiling.

Interesting dates. Even if it is just soft launch, it will be good to see 2 competitors showcasing their latest products on subsequent days. The new Maruti Ertiga will be showcased in Indonesia on 19th April.

This Mahindra has the looks and space to sweep a lot of sales from the private and taxi MPV market. I'll be very happy if they discontinue the eyesore Xylo and launch this one with a new name without all those "xUVxxx" attached to it. Renova?

I am slightly confused, I saw a post about XUV facelift launch on 18th april, In this thread there is a tweet about new Mahindra MPV launch on 18th April, are both happening on the same day? Don't think so, when a new product is launched, I guess manufacturer would like all attention on it rather than a facelift to an existing product.

Most of us guessed correctly, the unveiling/soft launch did not happen yesterday.

Many of our auto journalists don't have a good understanding of different models currently available or yet to be launched in our market.

Apparently, the Harman-Kardon sound system which will be offered in the upcoming U321 MPV has terrific sound quality, and is claimed to be equal, if not better than, the recent Tata PVs which come loaded with similar Harman systems.

M&M is serious about improving the sound quality of their offerings going forward. One example is the recently launched 2018 XUV500 facelift, which now comes with an Arkamys-based sound system.

So, be prepared to be pleasantly surprised with the sound setup of the U321 MPV when it is eventually rolled out for the masses.

I'm sure the audio system will be a pleasant surprise. On a more serious note I hope the rest of the vehicle - monocoque structure ? - proves as pleasantly surprising!

There is no talk yet of an AWD option.

Set for launch in India in August 2018, the upcoming Mahindra MPV has been spied again. This time, two different variants have been spied, being tested along side each other. One is badged U-081, the other is badged U-079.
