Looks great! Tata has delivered another great looking product. Tata should do a TVS and imprint the Indian tri-colour somewhere on the car.

Wow!! The Tigor looks fantastic. Great job to Tata for putting this together.


Now all we can wait for are the prices and how they drive.

I hope they have plans of plonking the Nexon diesel engine in the Tigor as well. That will be awesome !!

That is actually a really good idea! A subtle rendition of flag somewhere outside the car would be really nice.

I am in love with how the Tiago JTP looks close, it so well proportioned and purposeful at the same time. It reminds me of the original Maruti Zen (the jellybean) in a way that no Maruti since has done.

I first thought the JTP lettering on the grill could be done in tricolor, but that may have copyright issues.

Front fender garnish (old indicator spot) where Alfa Romeo put the quadrifoglio emblem would be a nice spot too.

I don't consider and nor does VW market or sell the Polo GT as a performance car. Sure; it can do with better brakes, if you are going to be thrashing it around all the time but that is not what it was designed to do. For the most part, the brakes do their job.

I hope the red on the jtp is not the same berry red on the regular Tiago. I never liked the reds given by TATA be it the Nexon or Tiago, they are more on the maroonish side. Similarly even the Brezza has a maroonish red. I hope this red is similar to the one on the Baleno or Polo or Compass. Right now I can't make out much from the photos.

I am sorry for going OT, but you can blame the car for once or at most twice for ending up in a situation like that. Even with cars with weak brakes, people can get along just fine as long they understand what the car can do and can't. My Nexon has excellent braking ability (better than Linea) with similar set up, part of which I will attribute to better tyres. So, rather than being hung up on all round disc brakes, let's go with Tata's statement of 30 meter for 100 to standstill for the time being.

It may be slightly different (can't make out), but certainly not the one you see in the Polo or the EcoSport. BTW, I am hoping we will have more color options, e.g. black.

And does anyone know if these will be sold through the regular channels aka the Tata dealers? Any limitation on the number of cars sold?

Hope it has the substance to match the publicity. To be proud about Tata's attempt. Hope this sets a new benchmark. Eager to see some racy colours on offer. Hopeful to see team bhp comments saying "The new benchmark in braking, ride & handling this side of 15L". Hope it betters the Fiat's and 1.6S fiesta.

Good luck to Tata. They need some success for what they are trying.

While this would probably keep the sales experience more consistent, some of us may have to go farther to get the cars themselves. Although it's a good thing that they can be serviced by any of the Tata dealers.

TATA motors is definitely passing through one of their most exciting phases. They first successfully managed to draw attention of people to their products by taking quality several notches up (evident from HEXA and TIAGO), followed by NEXON donning the new IMPACT design philosophy, thereby, transforming market perception of the company being conventional, and then ensured the buzz stays alive with their much-awaited SUV, Harrier. Just when we thought thats all for the time being, the JTP twins are here!
