It looks much better than other hatchback crossovers.

Since Honda is talking about a premium positioning, I am sure they are going to price it near Ecosport. I dont think this will succeed unless they price it considerably cheaper than Ecosport and Brezza, which i dont think they will.

Honda has new 1 and 1.5 litre turbo engines that have been praised internationally. These cars would be seen in a new light if Honda kept up on the engines. The front of the car is looking nice but the interiors really should have been reworked- they seem to be exactly same as Jazz and City except for the gear lever which seems to be shorter.

Tyres are not skinny.

W-RV comes with 195/60 R16 tyres, which are better spec than even the top end City. In fact, that's the primary mechanical advantage over the Jazz.

WR-V has BR-V's alloy design and tyre specs (195/60 R16) then

Honda admitting it's curtains for BR-V? It’s not even a year BR-V was launched in India. More rumors that facelift Mobilio will make an entry by year end!

This got to be product Cannibalization.

re: Honda WR-V production begins in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 7.75 lakh

The WR-V in the VX trim seems to have the air-spoiler seen in the V and lower trims of the Jazz. The VX trim of the Jazz seems to have a much bigger air-spoiler. Improves the look of the Jazz VX's rear as well. Since the WR-V VX will definitely be priced at a premium to the Jazz VX, Honda should have provided the latter's air-spoiler as well.

The biggest advantage of the BRV is the third row.

As per insider information shared on Page 1 of this thread, Mobilio facelift won't be launched in our market.

Nearby Peninsular Honda's stockyard Kazhakoottam, Trivandrum.

I have been here at this spot 3 years ago to catch sight of the very first batch of 2014 edition of Honda City.

The interiors are similar to that of the Jazz hatchback, however the WR-V appears to have borrowed the infotainment system from the new City. Slightly revised seat upholstery and a new gear lever appear to be the other changes made in the WR-V's cabin. It is also worth noting that there is no start/stop button on offer.
Thanks for the pictures. From the interior pictures, it appears that WR-V is going to miss leather-wrapped steering even in the top-most variant The Jazz gets leather-wrap from the V variant onwards. Another miss from Honda!

re: Honda WR-V production begins in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 7.75 lakh

The chrome grills of other Hondas were ugly enough and they had to design this. (Note: Don't quote me and start a debate. Design is purely a personal choice)

Sad to know that this car won't get the 1.5 petrol.

Is that a 'sporty' shifter knob which is finished in black?

I don't know if you guys agree, but the Face of WR-V reminds me of this,

They can take thier chance by pricing it cheaper then Ecosport/Vitara Brezza. But I don't think they'll do that. Premium pricing is a Small Thing, justifying it is a Big Thing. Looks like Honda have again messed up that. It looks different (I like the Exteriors), but the lack of some features & the use of not so premium materials (ex- Door Padding), make this car look cheap.

The Ecosport & Brezza look SUVish despite being sub 4m, the other cross's, i20 Active has good features & after sales, Avventura/Urban Cross has good dynamics. Crosspolo has Dynamics & good build. Etios Cross scores on Low Maintainance & Absue Friendly Structure. The WR-V scoring on some of these fronts (If not all) would be a tough ask. I guess Honda will price this 25-40k more then i20 Active. Let's wait & watch.

Yes, good spotting, it's a new thing on a Honda, we have seen Golf Ball Type knobs on thier cars. But, this looks new & different.

First they took the mobilio, inflated it and called it the BRV. Now they take the Jazz, inflate it and call it WR-V.

1. Speakers mesh on dashboard (could be for tweeters)
2. Driver armrest (Jazz gets different cover over gearbox with storage, this seem like Honda City armrest)
3. Gear shift knob is different (Does 2017 City come with new knob)
4. All new touchscreen from 2017 City with voice commands

Misses

1. Cruise control
2. Push start stop (We can clearly see plastic cover in place of it)

The above would have made the package complete IMHO, that would have definitely made it stand out from the Brio family siblings as City and Jazz share same platform and are premium as per Honda.

W-RV is expected to come with two variants, S and VX which might build on the similar variants of the Jazz.

Honda WR-V production begins in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 7.75 lakh-untitled1.jpg

Jazz is priced at similar levels to Brezza. A Jazz with the added features like touchscreen, new alloys etc could very well be priced above to Brezza. The crossover should then be priced well above it, probably 1L more than the hatchback?

White WRV shown in pictures (couple of posts ago) has an unusual wiper pattern for Indian RHD vehicle.
