Is this the first number of CH 01 RTO?

First one would be CH 01 0001. No alphabet.

That's old style number. New series would be CH 01 0001 only.

I think that this number was on some other car and they shifted it to this one.

the first CH series is different from CH 01 series. The older series started with CH followed by CHA and so on. We still have valid registration plates like CHP CHQ etc.
However the security number plates don't pick a number which isn't 4 digits so CH 1 has now become CH 0001 which is different from CH 01 0001.

I know that. I was talking about CH 01 RTO style series only. Not the old style series as I've cleared in my above reply too.

It started with 01- A and after Z they started AA. This is after new numbering system was done.

What do you people think about fancy numbers, and do you feel it contributes to any psychological factor about the image of the car/its owner?

To simplify it, what kind of "vibe" would you feel about a car if it would have a number such as:

1000

Vs

7777

Vs

6969

Do they evoke different emotions within you as the numbers change or it all is just "meh" for you in general?

i dont know about others but i have a habit of looking at a number plate before the actual car. A fancy number does catch attention. it says a lot about the owner of the car to those who understand. my father was obsessed with 8000 and even after he passed away all our new vehicles are still 8000. his nexia, mom's jazz, my lancer, activa, unicorn, cbr, ducati,safari - all 8000. for me its an obsessive compulsion.

Post the announcement of the new Telangana govt, for vehicle number plates in the state to shift to the abbreviation from TS to TG, the first lot of new numbers were announced yesterday, 15th March 2024.

The first TG number plate (TG 09 0001) fetched an auction price of 9.61 lakh.

The subsequent numbers fetched similar exorbitant prices:

TG 09 0909 - 2.30 lakh
TG 09 0005 - 2.21 lakh
TG 09 0002 - 1.20 lakh
TG 09 0007 - 1.07 lakh
