Why would a car manufacturer do that? Is it just to save on costs? When reversing in the dark, 2 lamps are a boon and I miss it on my Polo too at times. |

Thought this may give you some idea of how the S-Presso would look with a few alloy designs. Generated online with the tool available in alloywheelskart website. Disclaimer: I'm not associated with the site in any ways whatsoever. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Interestingly, like you mentioned, many mainstream European cars have a single reverse light by design. Other side getting the fog light. Since 1 tends to be acceptably sufficient in their safer driving conditions. Will the Spresso make its way to the EU I wonder. I'm guessing this dummy is simply to retain visual symmetry. Good job of saving 20rs on bulb and 50 rs on wiring.

| ![]() It is an established fact that sales numbers in India are really not commensurate to the reality that such cars are not flawless. But we can only pity the herd to choose such cars blindly : unclap |

The first car I remember seeing something like this is Etios, I was watching my friend reverse the brand new car and noticed that one of the reverse lights are not working, then we realized that even the bulb holder is not there at all. The vehicle itself was a cost cutting exercise, a Logan from Toyota. Maruti will save a lot of money if it keeps selling such volumes by saving a bulb and wiring, I do not think Toyota would have saved as much in a year! |

| ![]() I have seen the car near my office in Bangalore. It's the perfect city car. It's very small and has a high seat I believe. Easy to drive for first time drivers and easy to navigate the small streets. No issue with parking as well. It looks normal in person. Not quirky like in the pictures. As for the supposed herd mentality, if somebody gives me 14L for free, I'll buy an EcoSport Titanium Automatic right now. Until then I'll stick with the VFM low cost version of the same car that I'll be able to afford. Funny to see people complaining about how others should spend their money ![]() |

| ![]() ^^^ You are right. But it made up for its lack of numbers by being multifunctional - far too many tried to emulate a micro aquarium! Regards Sutripta PS. Let's take a step back to the time when cars had no reversing lights. On Ambassadors we used the indicators. No such luck in the early Jeeps! Last edited by Sutripta : 17th December 2019 at 15:27. |

| ![]() Recently Test Drove the S-Presso. I must say, it's a perfect car for urban runabouts. Peppy and responsive engine, good gearbox, excellent GC and very Narrow. However, there are some ergonomic issues that i felt. Firstly, the steering wheel is very close to the dash and lacks any adjustments whatsoever. Secondly, the gear lever felt a little lower for my liking. Another major negative are the below average brakes. They lack stopping power. They were as powerful as my uncle's 10 year old WagonR. |
