| ![]() From the video it looks like the India bound vRS 245 would get the Vega 18" and not the Xtreme 19" which everyone was expecting.. Last edited by TSIVTEC : 2nd February 2020 at 20:20. |

Unfortunately I suspect the vRS 245 will be in excess of 35 lakh on the road Bangalore. In fact the last batch of vRS 230s were sold at 35 lakh on the road. It's likely that the vRS 245 will be 40+ on the road Bangalore. Nonetheless, I would suggest you try and stretch your budget for the vRS if you can. It's closest competition, the 330i is 55 lakh and that would be worth the extra dough over the vRS 245 if you can spring for it!

| ![]() M340, if at all makes to us will be around same as M2. If it’s 330 vs RS, it will depend on the person. For some reasons, I don’t like steering feel on front wheel drive cars. I am sure, there are so many fans of RS so they won’t feel anything missing and will gladly pick RS over BMW. Best is to test drive but I doubt one can get a drive on a RS without actually buying one. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() The Octavia RS245 is a limited edition variant with only 200 units or so available for the Indian market, now launched at a price of Rs 36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is powered by the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine tuned to an output of 245PS and 370Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via the 7-speed DSG automatic with an electronic limited-slip differential on the front axle for better grip. In terms of features, it is as well equipped as the top-spec of the regular Octavia but with a sportier cabin. It gets an all black theme with red highlights, sport seats, flat bottom steering wheel and plenty of vRS badges everywhere. The sporty Octavia gets the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the virtual cockpit, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power adjustable driver’s seat, hands-free parking and dual zone climate control. The visual changes to the outside of the Octavia vRS245 include the different 18-inch alloys, vRS badges, the spoiler and dual exhaust tips. Skoda is charging an extra Rs 12.4 lakh for the added performance over the current top-spec petrol powered L&K variant. Source: https://www.cardekho.com/india-car-n...2020-25036.htm P.s: Personally I would have been comfortable with a price of around 35 lacs OTR Mumbai. Now this would push it over 42 lacs? | ![]() This pricing brings back memories of the GTI launch. Anybody have odds on how many months Skoda will wait before bringing in the inevitable fire sale? I'd like to place my bets! |

| ![]() Getting a car with horses over 200+ takes loads more from the pocket. As someone said before the closest option is 330i i think and its priced relative to that as compared to L&K. |

But it's not highly overpriced as the GTI or anything. There should be takers are the RS 245 looks like a brilliant package overall.

| ![]() Aren't these wheels on this RS different from the ones on the RS on Skoda's website. Last edited by Eshan Joshi : 5th February 2020 at 12:45. Reason: trimmed quoted post |

| ![]() Is it overpriced? YES!! In my opinion, it won't be a hassle bargaining for the 330i at 47-48L OTR Delhi and if the vRS goes over 40 , it would be a no brainer to go for the BMW assuming it will pay back the extra difference at the time of resale. Who doesn't like RWD 250hp sedans anyway ![]() |

| ![]() Means 45L on road in Bangalore. I think its too expensive and many will consider 330i even if they have to shell out 10% more. Zac Hollis's press event is at 2:10 pm today so not sure about the credibility of cardekho claim. Quote:

BHPian ![]() | ![]() 320d luxury line already selling for 45-46L OTR Bombay after discount, the 330i is priced 1L higher than the luxury line. A RWD 330i M Sport at 47-48L over a FWD Octavia VRS at 42L any day. Feature wise both cars offer almost identical bells and whistles now, however the bimmer also scores higher in terms of quality, fit and finish and then the brand value. Not sure if there will be many takers for even the 200units. |
