Underrated-
Opel Vectra (around 400 cars were sold initially and i guess 17 after facelift)
Ford Mondeo
Honda Accord(Gen-1 in India)
Maruti Baleno vxi
Palio/Petra 1.6

Baleno - Underrated substantially.
Palio - Need I mention more here.
Ambassador - The best back seat comfort a lil money could buy

M800 - worst/no safety features - still sold
Wagon R - Poultry delivery only
Honda City - All versions except OHC
Hyundai i20 - Discussion open yet....

Well i will disagree.....this is quite a degrading remark,overrated is another thing but saying its for poultry is absolutely not a smart thing to say.It handles well for a tall boy has a responsive engine,adequate space for four,safety features such as ABS and airbags as an option,what else is required from a cheap and light on pocket hatch?

seriously even I do feel that Indica has never got it's due share of applause. may be tata motors is not able to generate the confidence among people but this car rocks man.

I guess there is no point in considering old cars such as Palio, Baleno etc as under-rated now, infact, Baleno is even discontinued, Palio is in its last stride, hence not relevant on this day. Cedia can also be probably added to this list.

In my view, the most under-rated drivers car of today is Ford Fiesta 1.6, which for some reason doesn't bring out its due passion even in this beloved forum of ours like that of a Palio 1.6, Baleno or old Honda City, hence again, Palio 1.6 or Baleno is not at all under-rated.

Over-rated certainly is the ANHC as well as to some extent Fiat Linea, though both may not show purely in terms of numbers sold. Fiat Linea with its current engines is definitely over-rated and so is the Skoda Fabia.

Mr.grvanand IMHO we should discuss cars that are under-rated in our country and not those which are overated/underrated by team bhp members.As for baleno,palio and cedia there is no harm including them even if they are discontinued or are going to be discontinued soon.Cedia particularly just got a facelift so it bein discontinued is still a distant possibility.
