Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

If I would be spending 1 Cr on a 3 car garage, I would probably get 2 cars and spend the rest on two wheelers.

1) Skoda Octavia RS 245 - 45L
- An ideal mix of performance, handling with ample features and comfort.

2) Nexon Electric XZ+ Lux - 17L
-
One for the love of nature and one of the most sensible cars to be used as a daily commuter.

The rest of the money would go for some two wheelers.

3) KTM Adventure 390 - 4L
- A go anywhere machine. Being relatively cheaper to fix compared to the big boys, it can be ventured into the uncharted territories without thinking too much.

4) Ultraviolette F77 - ~4L
- Something that looks as if it came from the future and something that paves way for the future. Makes perfect sense as a commuter as I don't really prefer scooters.

Now this is where all the money that has been saved till now goes.

5) MV Augusta Brutale 1000 RR - ~30L
- One for the soul. Looks that could kill. The Italian pedigree and hell of a machine.

If there was more leeway, I would have picked the BMW 330i Sport/ M Sport. But I wouldn't give up the MV for upgrading to a better car if there was no leeway.

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

One of the option will be the same car that I mentioned on the other thread - your preferred "one-car garage", which is the Volvo V90 Cross Country!

The other choice will be the Innova Crysta 2.4 VX AT.

I'll be extremely happy with these 2 cars in my Garage!

My Garage:

Skoda Superb for my official drives
Tata Hexa 4x4 for Family Vacations
Maruti Ignis My daily drive
Mini convertible My Sunday Drive
Triumph Bonnie For the weekend ride
Suzuki Burgman For daily chores
Honda Amaze Automatic for my wife.

If I had to have only one car? Then then the Defender LWB

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

My pick would be:

1) The BMW 330i which comes around 51 lakh INR on road. Make it a complete sleeper with a good and reliable ECU Tune-up and an exhaust with required mods.

2) The Ford Endeavour, 4x4 AT which currently has a 2.0 Litre Diesel engine and do a Quantum UK remap to match the power the now dead 3.2 used to make. One road price 41 Lakh INR. Make this a good off-roader and take this car where the BMW wouldn't be able to reach.

3) Remaining money will be used for maintenance, mods, additional parts, service and spares for the vehicles.

Since this thread is about having only cars in the garage, I have not included any bike in this list.

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

For the sake of being a bit economical, I'll only stick to used vehicles because buying a new car in India is pointless:

1) Performance: Used F10 530d (25-35L)
2) Mixed/City: New Kodiaq (40L)
3) Extreme: Used Endeavour 3.2L (25L)

If I am able to get a used Kodiaq, might upgrade F10 to G30

If Vitamin M remains, will go to 360 camera funds (Endeavour)
P.S. Endeavour would be running full-LED headlight setup (can be done for under 20k)

Soon enough, none of the vehicles would be running stock ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

This is my first post on the forum, quite an interesting thread. I wholly agree with Suhas about the fact that new cars are drastically overpriced. Coming as the owner of a brand new G32 GT, despite the fact that I love the car, perhaps I should've gone the pre-worshipped route. Nonetheless, my ideal garage under 1CR would be:
1. 2016 G series BMW 730ld (50L)
2. 2017+ Ford Endeavour 3.2 (25L)
3. 2016+ Toyota Innova Crysta 2.8 (15L)
4. Tata Nexon EV(hopefully pre-owned (15L)
5. MPI Maruti Gypsy with mods (2.5L)
6. If money spares, perhaps a sub 1L class street bike?

Although this slightly crosses the 1CR margin, in the current market, anything is possible.

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

Here is my take

1. Beater car - my corolla altis for now ( to be replaced with Nexon EV in future for errands)
2. Kia carnival - for family long drives.
3. Isuzu D-max - for other sinful pleasures

I guess I will still save a lot and can invest the same

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

Hyundai Kona - commute to work, kids' after school activities etc. Less than 10 km radius from home.
Jeep Compass 4x4 - for off road trips
Toyota Innova Crysta or a fortuner - you really haven't arrived unless you drive a white fortuner or innova. Extra points for wearing white while being driven in one. :-). Just kidding, this will be for slightly longer commute when parents/inlaws visit.

A decent VW bus, some tools for welding, bending sheet metal and what not for the rest.

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

What if questions have a tragedy of answers.

After many thoughts I have narrowed it down to two scenarios:

With purely new cars!
the BMW 5 Series 60 L & the Ford Endeavour 35 L.
Remaining money will be used to build a good garage to park these beauties

With a combination of old & new and preserved cars -
A new Polo GT TSI - the forever car
A used HM Ambassador
A new BMW 5 series
A used Pajero SFX
A Bullet or a Jawa

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

Awesome thread.

1. Luxury car for family outings / weekends / travelling - BMW X3 X-Drive (~65L)
2. Daily office commute / personal use - Kia Seltos GTX plus DCT (~20L)
3. Daily family use with chauffeur and running errands / airport runs - Ciaz Alpha (~10L)

With the leftover, i would get a WagonR / Baleno for markets/ errands/ ferrying my pet.

Thought process:
- A luxury and also a status symbol for travelling with family for dinners/ family functions/ weekend drives yet practical enough and SUV class car for travelling to offbeat destinations and getaways - BMW

- A feature laden, no compromise and very comfortable daily personal car which looks great for office commuting and personal use to chill with friends. Doesn't look out of place at all and will not look bad for a person who has ~1Cr at his disposal for depreciating assets

- An extremely comfortable, spacious, frugal and reliable sedan to give to chauffeur for carrying family and parents around. Noone would feel shortchanged in the backseat and i wouldnt have to worry about what the chauffeur is doing with it. The point of this vehicle is not to provide the thrills but carry people in good comfort and Ciaz fits the bill perfectly.

- A WagonR / Baleno would do great for local market shopping, ferrying my dog, taking to places with non existent parking and likes. This car would be all head and no heart but from previous experience, generally end up becoming the most important car because the practicality it offers cannot be matched by any other.

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

Must say reading the posts has been more entertaining than the idea itself

Please wait.. while I activate dream mode!

I would just need 2 of them and the total ex-showroom is Crore-ish -

1. A Mustang V8 to exorcize the occasional speed demon. Yeah I'm no Schumi and am very unlikely to push any car to its handling limits. I believe the 'stang is just incredible value for the purpose.

2. A Skoda Kodiaq for everything else - family drives, chauffering parents, good roads, bad roads and all that.

A toyota Camry for being chauffeured to work (35L)

A RR Velar for all else (70L but with discounts around 65)

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

Very interesting thread and it's something that put me in the virtual imaginary world for a long time till I got a notification on Skype from my Boss

Coming to the topic, here is what I would like to have in my garage.

1) Ford Endeavour for trips with family and for those Instagram posts showing "after a long day of off-roading" @ 45L
2) A pre-owned 320d for enthusiast in me (in the name of city runabouts) @25L
3) Upcoming Figo 1.2 with the 6-speed auto box for wife @10L.

Re: What is your ideal three car garage under ₹1,00,00,000 (1 Crore)?

I am a bit hesitant to spend 1 Crore on just 3 cars.

So here it goes for me ( On road Price, Kerala):
  • To arrive in style : TATA HARRIER XZA Plus Dark Edition AT Rs.25,50,048
  • A pocket rocket : TATA ALTROZ XZ (O) (Diesel) Rs.10,69,398
  • A car for family : Toyota Innova Crysta 2.4 G Plus MT 8 STR(Diesel) Rs.21,54,336
  • For my sedan craving : New Honda City ZX MT(Petrol) Rs.15,47,864
  • For pure nostalgia / Merc badge dream : Mercedes Benz W124 restored to best Rs.8,00,000
  • A Superbike : Honda CBR 650R ( Expected Rs.10,00,000 )
  • The Definite One : Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Chrome - BS VI Rs.3,26,784
  • Scooter Needs : Vespa SXL 150 Rs.1,46,917

  • Total Cost Rs.95,95,347
Left with 4 Lacks which I will keep as a backup money for any unexpected expenses of W124.
