Received some pictures of the Octavia L&K from a friend.
It looks like the L&K variant no longer gets a sunroof or headlight washers.

Thanks for the pics. So from the last picture of the key atleast its confirmed 2 TSI is making it

Also, apologies for my ignorance, isn't headlight washers required only for HIDs? Does LED need that too?

I assumed the L&K premium would be largely driven by the sunroof, apart from the speakers? Wonder what other features we will lose in the lower variant then.

Halogen based headlamps, manual instrument cluster, no-frills audio system, no foot operated notchback opening, no auto parking etc. I am guessing.

Is it just me, or the current Octavia's interior seems much better?

Anyways some observations from above pics-

1) No physical AC Controls!
2) Multi colour footwell lighting (currently, it's only in yellow color)
3) EPB, with Auto Hold.
4) Headlight Washers removed :(
5) Manual sublinds for side windows
6) CR-V ish, gear selector
7) Strangely not many headlight controls?
8) Electric Boot opening and closing
9) Minimalist design, with very less buttons (I am hating it already)
10) No sunroof

It is recommended to provide headlamp washers to those headlamp configuration where the beam is projected through a projector setup and is independant of source of light, be it HIDs or LEDs.

The alloys . I think one of the worst design and looks aftermarket.

I just wish they launch all black interior option (sportline) along with L&K.

Except beige interior and the alloy, the rest is fabulous.

I’m seeing a boot release button on the driver door, so finally Octavia gets an electric hatch. Rear window blinds are neat. Good that Skoda skipped the sunroof and offered more important and practical features throughout the cabin this time.

Thanks for sharing. Lovely looking. While the dash looks wonderful, practical use ability will take a hit. This is being highlighted in European reviews as well. All other aspects take the car up a notch. Increase in boot space too!.

Removing Sunroof is like, "You have a problem, we don't want to fix it. You don't deserve the feature itself. I am removing it, now do what you want" kind of response from Skoda. While I personally can live with some noise, still removing it even in L&K is making it more spartan.

And headlamp washers too? Is it not required or recommended for the high powered reflector setup? Is Skoda moving away from simply clever and safety first approach and copying Koreans?

Isn’t this button present in the Rapid as well as a mere boot release button? I really hope it gets an electric hatch though.

No way! I'm worried for my kids - they will not be happy in a modern sunroof-less car! It will be a deal breaker for us, and I'm sure for many others

I hope there will be a Sportline variant with Black colored interiors like in the Superb, Beige interiors for sure is a deal breaker for me.
