Bit unfair that you know the release date and then telling us that you know and then not ready to share.

Yes, i agree. Its also not in the best interest of the manufacturer. Now, when we are told its going to be launched soon, people get excited. But if the launch does not happen people get disappointed or start to question if there are problems which are delaying the launch.

check the safai 2.2 forums - Tatas launched the car but could not start deliveries and that lead to all kind of speculation about bad starter motors/power steering/blown gaskets etc.

Very Very Soon is good enough for me. Buuuuuttttttttttt... do you know whether that very very soon launch will include the option of the Automatic Transmission or will it come in later 2008 as already discussed in other threads? any info on the A/T would be much appreciated.

As far as I am concerned, isn't it far too early to be asking this?
No one WANTS gremlins, but when they emerge they are a so disappointing.

Ok. so here we have some interesting news but nothing concrete till the time it comes from M&M or a dealer. Lets see if its this Diwali or New Year. Even I would like to know the specs and keen to know( anxious) if it would be available in Auto transmission. Would like to compare the specifications with the Safari VTT and then also with Captiva LTX before I pick my SUV unless, I am sure that I get similar features in Scorpio/ Hawk/ Eagle too.
1. Auto with Diesel Engine.
2. Driver Seat Hieight adjustment
3. 4*4 ( on the fly or, on demand)
4. Better driving dynamics / Handling compared to the current one.
5. Steering mounted music controls.
6. Cruise Control.
7. Climate Control( Auto ac)

I ll prefer a Scorpio with these specs over Captiva for simple reason that there is no GM dealer in my area.

yea even i have heard that the scorpio 2.2 is gonna be launched this year itself maybe in december or so...all eyes on it
