Does anyone know if they have added rear/front armrests, or any other additions in recent models?

Very interesting pricing, the 2WD Thar AX diesel MT surely will make dent on entry level Nexon XM Diesel. In fact with the 2WD the Thar will be a consideration for those who were leaning towards the likes of Nexon, Sonet, Venue, even some variants of Creta and Seltos. The brand value of Thar is immense, the 2WD pricing will make it irresistible to many, especially in the tire 2 and 3 towns where it should find many takers at 12 lakhs on road just for its snob value. I hope that Mahindra sorts out the gap between booking and delivery timelines.

Me too brother. When I bought the Thar in Feb 2021, the Sireesh dealer accessories boys charged me 12K for that mucky vinyl covered composite plywood which is just placed in position and not fastened to anything.
Ive just been managing with it so far though it is poor quality muck.

But, I wonder if that market segment still exists 'coz the Bolero/Bolero Neo seem more practical and carries more people at the same price point.

So then, the Thar AX RWD diesel will be for those who wanna do urban mall-crawling with the cash savings invested in oversized wheels and a host of aftermarket bling, including a "4x4" decal.

Mostly for those who wanna the road presence of THAR, enjoy head turning all along the road and want to ARRIVE in office parking.

Wonderful pricing. Only thing Mahindra needs to worry is the production capacity.

So, the most affordable Thar has a 1.5L diesel. I am sure glad 1.5L diesel engines will live on. May the success inspire other manufacturers to continue investing in diesels.

Well if 1.5 was launched as 4x4 then possibly the resale value would have dropped.

And I really don't think anyone would be wanting to sell off the 2020 Thar till 2025 unless they would want to buy the 5 door one when it launches.
