Those of you still think 3 cylinder engine vibrates here are the words from the AutoExpress professional review on this car.

"It's also remarkably free from vibra-tion and, while not that quiet, has a slick-shifting five-speed manual gearbox. On the road, the Fabia is solid and capable, with fine motorway manners and decent suspension control."

It has nice pictures of the front view to rear view including boot and engine.

This is from another review by professional reviewer from UK website.

"Over 1.6million Fabia's have been sold around the world and over 130,000 of those were in the UK, where a customer satisfaction survey revealed that 98 per cent of owners would buy their Skoda again."

Looks like not only in India the Skoda became famous and it is becoming famous in europe as well.

Here is another quote from one of the reviews I have posted earlier.

If the 3 cylinder diesel engine vibrated that much I wonder how this car still got the award : Diesel Car of the Year.

Other cars in this category might be really bad for this one to get the award.

"the Fabia was the Scottish Group of Motoring Writers, ‘Diesel Car of the Year’ and the vRS version became Diesel Car magazine’s ‘Best Performance Diesel’, in 2004."

irrelevant, a bad comparision, but when the first lot of tata indica was launched, people lapped it up. As they saw value in the car.

Similarly the Fabia is loaded with little little cute things that will make the customer shell out those extra bucks.

and if vibration is such a issue, there is a 1.4 89 bhp petrol engine. Which is smooth as hell. which does not vibrate .

this cars going to be a big hit. and its confirmed that the car along with its concepts and a few international Skodas will be on display at the Auto Expo

Why would i want to buy a Petrol Skoda? Poor resale, poor torque, poor mileage.

Firstly the Fabia doesnot look that different, it just looks all the very same as say a Suzuki Swift or a Mini(from which the car is inspired) Space in the car isnot better then the Getz, and Indians dont value gizzmos in a hatch. Anyways lets wait for the car to be lanched and then only we can say something concrete, on paper the Fabia doesnot impress much IMO.

I guess the quality and the cool features that is Fabia is going to be bringing to India.

If Maruti did not bring down the quality from european version of Swift then I would have bought the Swift by now.

That is nice news.

Thanks for sharing the Email with us Ajmat.

I sincerely beleive this car has the potential of being a hit with Indians. The Skoda Brand is definetely a respected & trusted brand. IF Fabia is priced around the 6 - 7 Lacs OTR Price and comes with all those nice features.

Hyundai has been stupid enough to price the Getz in that manner and Maruti has been dissapointing potential buyers with that Long Waiting Period.

Is Fabia the Answer ? Let's wait & see.

ACI seems to have a done a test with the Fabia in the Jan issue. There is no doubt the build quality of Skoda cars are fantastic, but the A.S.S and spares cost are not that good, as per what people say.

seems like a really nice buy for the aforementioned price and that too for a premium brand.what needs to be seen are the feature in person and also compare it with the likes in indigo et al.

Apparently there are going to be 3 versions

Classic - Power Windows, mp3 player, front airbags and central locking
Ambiente - + Alloys Foglamps, Power mirrors, ABS, and remote locking
Elegance - Projector headlamps, Electric sunroof and parking sensors.

ACI says it has an excellent gearbox and ride. ACI says the interiors are also better than the Octavia
