Fuel price varies vastly due to transportation cost and will be more on the hills. The distance is calculated from the point of filling of tankers to the delivery point. This is among the same fuel retailers not across the board as each fuel retailing company fixes its' rate based on their own procurement, refining, and transportation cost (does not apply on private retailers). Petrol and Diesel will see a price reduction of Rs. 2 due to lower crude prices.
It will be effected over the next 5 days, a reduction of 40Ps per day.

Somehow the interest, people were having in this thread have dried out. Rise or fall, I don't care any more. Because most have lost the hope, and we have adapted to the ever changing rates. Hope the government don't increase the taxes again if the crude falls more. Dear crude, keep your head high, don't fall for the distractions else we would be subjected to more extractions

Note: This 'no use to anyone' post, happened to be my 1000 post in the forum.

The price hasn't changed in 5 months. The diesel price in my nearby IOCL COCO is 94.77 since 28-May through 24-October refill

bound to happen. elections are around the corner and what better way to misuse power. I sometimes wish there were elections in some or the other state more regularly, we will not see an increase for sure. Not sure of the reduction though

Re: The Official Fuel Prices Thread

Some relief for CNG users! Prices have come down by 5 to 8 rupees per kg after the recent change in natural gas pricing mechanism. MGL has announced an 8 rupee cut in CNG prices in and around Bombay.

In my hometown where gas is supplied by Adani, CNG prices have seen a 6 rupee drop. Delhi is also expected to see a similar drop although IGL website is not updated yet. These reduced prices will stay for the rest of April.

Re: The Official Fuel Prices Thread

This thread has lost its relevance now. The crude prices have dropped almost 50% from May last year but the retail prices continue to be same. This despite of the fact that almost one third of crude oil basket is imported from Russia at reduced rates. The country it seems really needs development at the cost of its own citizens who continue to pay for high fuel prices which ironically are market driven, or so we are told !!

This government, which to most means just 1 person these days anyway, can get away with any masterstroke and people won't really bat an eyelid. Price rise, inflation, poverty used to be issues, but these have been very deftly and successfully been replaced by other 'more' important ones. I shouldn't say that previous administrations were salaried class friendly, far from it, but the current dispensation seems almost anti salaried class. Whatsapp forwards extolling India's independent stance and self interest in importing Russian crude are created to manage the blatantly obvious optics of the actual price of retail not budging much. One wonders where's all this profit going to? We all know where, but that doesn't matter as we don't really matter in the bigger(election) scheme of things!

The Official Fuel Prices Thread-smartselect_20230719_163306_twitter.jpg

Somebody needs to tell this person that fuel prices are linked to international prices only when they increase.

Sarcasm aside, even after record tax collections (GST & Fuel Taxes) they haven't dropped even a single penny.

Leaving aside Taxes, Low Crude. Petrol has not decreased by even a single paisa after ethanol blending.

Waiting for elections to come. There should be something for PR management, keeping the media busy for going GAGA over price decrease, otherwise what will media channels talk about??.

Reason being to collect higher indirect tax to fund infra and other development.

Petrol & Diesel, everyone pays tax and cannot evade it.
