I have a Honda CR-V (new shape sunroof, december 2007,covered only 19k km) MT which I plan to sell sometime soon. It's in pretty good shape and mechanically sound with an unused stepney. How much do guys suppose the car could go for?

Odo reading? Reason for selling? I guess you can demand about about 75-80% of the value.

IMO around 4L would be a fair price.

Hi,
I am getting an offer for used Palio stile 1.6 which is about 2 years old for 2-lacs in Bangalore, i would like to know if there are any issues in getting spare parts, service etc.

I am not worried about FE but dont want to keep the car in showroom for long due to unavailability of spares.

Please let me know the risks in getting Palio 1.6

Thanks
AM.

Engine parts are easy to source as most of it will be present in Palio 2012 as well. A colleague of mine just met with an accident in his Palio Stile, a month back. He came out unscratched but since it collided with a dumper, the car took a real beating. The mirrors and clutch and suspension took about 3-4 days to arrive. Rest all was fixed in 2 days time. And denting&painting work was done in 10 days time. He got his car back in 15 days. Hope this helps.

Hi,
I need to go onsite for a couple of years, so I am planning to sell my 1 year old i10. The details are as below.
Model : i10 Sportz(kappa pre-facelift)
Year/Month- September 2011
Kms driven: 13.5k
Comprehensive insurance- no claims so far.
The car has total maintenance pack, so there would be no labour/part charges for another 2 years. It also has an extended warranty for 3 years. I have done diamond brite paint protection. The car has been maintained well.
Can you please suggest what would be the best selling price?
Thanks
Sethu

The dealer has offered me 1.52 for the car , i have independent quotes which work out to a little over 1.60-1.65. I am now planning to telling the dealer that i might sell it on my own , lets see how they respond to that , hoping they will sacrifice a little more of their margin and go up a bit.

Mind you, the dealers offer a 3-6 months warranty on the engine and tranny, and this warranty is directly out of the way you have cared for your car. So if you maintained the car well enough, the dealer will never have to honour any warranty claims. And he does charge a hefty premium for offering the warranty!

If the independent quotes are from reliable sources where payment will be hassle-free, you can go ahead with selling the car on your own. With dealers you have a comfort of mind as the payment and RTO transfer formalities will usually be hassle-free. You don't want to settle for a 50% now and balance after four months, and then keep waiting for the balance.

Whatever the case, make sure it's clear who pays for the other formalities like RTO transfer, octroi and such.

Did you mean September 2010? If it's 2011, I dont see how it's 1 year old.
2009 i10 Sportz goes for 3.5Lakhs in Chennai. So you can expect somewhere around 4 lakhs I think.

could not agree more and that is exactly what i am thinking on right now , i would much rather prefer convenience over a few thousand rupees.
