So I was heading for Golf today and stopped at a car
Dealer opposite Dell on the Inner Ring Road.
Saw a Gypsy there. 2003 model King. Soft Top.
Asking price 3.37 Lac. Its also listed on Gaadi.com or Cartrade etc.
Looks good from a distance and in photos but clearly there are things like rust damage and the tailgate is a dark blue whereas the main car is white.
The seats are ok but when I sat inside I found it terribly crude. The dashboard was quite faded. Its done some 58100kms but I have no idea if genuine or not.
It also has an aftermarket soft top which I wasnt too enamoured with. Poor beast needs a lot of TLC...

Hello Guys!

Good morning.
How much should I expect for a 2014 Fiat Punto Dynamic 1.3, which is run for 46,000 km?
The price check tool here is showing too low price.

Is this a good price?
Also does anyone know any trusted mechanic in Mumbai who can come along with me to check out the car? Preferably around Bandra (W)
I think thats a decent price, though slightly high. I had gotten my 2007 Feb SMT in Jan'13 for 4.65 lakhs. However if the car is very well maintained (i assume this is a VMT), extra 30K shouldnt be a deal breaker for a Civic.

Points to be checked
> Tyres will be at the end of life
> My Civic AC went kaput around 48000. Please check the same as the Civic can get really hot due to the large glass surface in absence of a good AC
> Look for rusting at the Door Sills
> Check gearbox condition by checking the transfer from 2nd to 1st in a slow moving car.

How long do you plan to keep the car?? I will be looking for a Civic One year from now, we can make some arrangement

Pretty hard used for just a two year old car. I would actually bring the price down a bit more from what the TBHP calculator says because it assumes maximum 12k running per year.

Maybe more if you already replaced tyres and battery and if the insurance has more to run

Fiats don't have a terribly high resale value, if all you are doing is going to buy a new car I would advice hanging on to the punto for at least another 2..3 years.

A 2012 Innova is being offered at 1.3 lakhs?!
Makes me wonder if the car is nicked.
I am familiar with the phrase "If something is too good to be true, chances are that it is"
Half of me wants to go and check out the car. The other half is very suspicious.

Most of them are either pricing errors or scam. I have seen better offers than this.. :-D . Pajero for 90000rs only... Owner forgot to add an extra zero it seems..

In all probability, it is a typo, and has one digit missing.
Should have been 13,00,000.

Even if the car was driven for, say, 300,000 kms, still an Innova cannot be bought for the price of an Enfield.

If you make a call, you will know.

As others pointed out, its most probably a typo.

Its surprising and frustrating at the same time to see that the so called top used car portals do not validate the information being posted on their websites. There are so many wrong posts/ pictures floating around on these websites which is one of the factors contributing to the fact that our used car market is not very organized.

Is it a good idea to buy a test drive car? I saw a 2015 Celerio ZDI for 4.2 lacs at a true value today. Its a test drive car run for 10k kms. The diesel clatter was very loud. But the car itself looked brand new and was good to drive.

Another car of interest is a 2013 SX4 ZDI, run for 55k kms for 5.5 lacs. (This is not a test drive car) But the price seems to be on the higher side for an SX4.

Both cars are from Truevalue and are offered with 1 year warranty and 3 free services.. Any comments?

I would not touch a test drive car if it was offered for free - and diesel engines really shouldn't clatter in under a year and 10k. Many people trying them out, dealer staff using them as a random ride to take anywhere they please etc.

The SX4 - possibly higher but here's what the tbhp price check tool says. It is a good car and will last years of great service, but get it checked by your own trusted mechanic first.

2013 SX4 ZDI BS IV BANGALORE

Rs. 6.35 - Rs. 6.94 lakh Buying from a dealer
Rs. 5.96 - Rs. 6.52 lakh Buying privately

Hello Friends

I am looking to sell my Ford Fiesta S, May 2010, done only 31000 KM. In great condition (doesn't every seller say it ).
A general buyer will not even look at my adv. but for an enthusiast it could be a find of his life.
So, any suggestion on the asking price will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Guys, I've managed to find something really good.

2012 Sep, Corolla Altis top model, 7 speed CVT - 19k kms done, owned by an individual in Mumbai BUT he's the second owner since the car was originally company registered. So on paper I would be the third owner. Car condition is excellent and requires no work at all apart from a regular service which is due.

His quote is slightly on the higher side but I'm trying to make him understand that I'll be the third owner and when I decide to sell it, the resale will drop even more. So accordingly he should set his expectations.

What's a good price range for this car? Thanks in advance.

What is he quoting? It seems really low miles. Does he have service records?

Yep, it's a genuine thing. No worries on that front. Guy uses his Audi Q3 mostly for highways and he just picked up a new i10 Automatic.

He was quoting 10.5L but he came down to 9.65L the day I went to see the car. But I wasn't ready to pick it up at 9.65L so today he texted saying give me your final offer and take the car.
