Isnt every lancer based on the evo? even the same engines that are stripped of power.

BTW I guess cedia is doing pretty well on sales.

Corolla sold 450 units last month
Optra sold 379 units last month

HM has 35 dealers in 28 cities and if each sold average 15 cars per month, sales turn out to be around 400-450 units.

Dont have the figures for Octavia and Elantra.

i like the cedia atleast half as much as you do, but that was the funniest sales comparison i have ever come across.
how can you possibly state that a car is selling well by stating hard numbers for two of them from the segment and potential sales figure for the one in question.

because we dont know the figures, an assumption is the only option.

I guessed 15 cars per month per dealer because that is what a bhpian posted sometime ago for the dealership in his city.

Even if you consider around 10 cars average per dealer(some are more and some less) then its 350+

and Again its just my assumption( or take that as a question asking you to put up sales figures)LOL

your assumption is highly optimistic.

lamest excuse i have ever come across for a bad post. i am now telling you that i doubt HM dealers are selling anything more than 2-3 units a month (which is a little more believable), now calculate the sales figure.

wrong assumption leads to wrong results

i have never bothered about the sales figures, and i couldn't care less if your 15 car assumption is even true. point is you do not get assumptions (optimistic/pessimistic) into the picture when you're comparing hard figures of the other cars.

Do not know about the rest but the Corolla is doing great . 2 Mitsubishi Dealers in Blore must be doing around 30-40 cedia's a month.
so much for that lame excuse of yours.

Even I dont care what number of cars they sell. Was just curious and put up an analysis.

That new Lancer Evo(?) concept looks HOT!! Boy, what a design! The car looks so Mean and aggressive. I Love it! Of course, the actual production Lancer will be dulled out but it still would look hot. But why bother, HM will probably bring this car into India in 2100.

dear sir, please read the last part of my post once again. don't bother scrolling up, it says
"point is you do not get assumptions (optimistic/pessimistic) into the picture when you're comparing hard figures of the other cars."

i hope you understand what words like 'apparently' and 'must be doin . . .' imply.
And some people mention all kinds of crap, for eg the quad turbo set-up by the FERRARIMKT guy, i wonder when you're going to quote him now.

What bothers me more is when will MItsubishi actually get it into production. Coz I dont need to wait for HM to detune it and launch it to test drive one.

BTW looking at this new lancer, New eclipse and new new Outlander, its pretty clear on what Mitsubishi is positioning itself as in the US market.

I wish your dream comes true. But something that didn't happen in 2 years, why will it happen now?

I don't think this will happen. It certainly is not happening. Honda still has a great brand value and resale. Till Mitsu rectifies this, it will not get the volumes.

This was a speculative thread & since both the cars are in Market & we know how each performs, no need for further speculation\arguments.
