As burnt mentioned, 4177 is esteem + SX4. Esteem number is always in between 1500- 2200 in past one year or so and there is no reason why this would have decreased drastically in Oct. So, I guess SX4 sales in oct are in between 2000-2600.

No wonder why these people manage to sell things like these. I would like to point out few more things which they claim in the ad

1. Sporty interiors(What the ....)

2. Spacious back seat (for a guitar LOL is that what rear seat is provided for?)

3. Ghar basane jaarahe ho? (4 ya 5 bag me kisi ka ghar basjaata hai kya?)

Sorry for being rude, but Ads like these are so misleading. I just dont think this ad might have boosted the sale. Infact I feel the first ad(Boxes Ad) was more creative.

Looks at the figures! Maruti Suzuki is selling close to like 55k cars a month. Awesome!

But Bolero?? Must be mostly non-city sales, as I dont seem to see many around.

These cars definately do not deserve to be there. A piece of polluting junk, a safety hazard and the third is pure scrap metal!!

P.S. - i10 sure has a gr8 market !!

6. Maruti Suzuki Omni- 6,245.

Amazing. The Omni continues to sell very good numbers consistently , month after month , decades after it was launched. That too with minimal ad spend and marketing.

Maruti must be minting money on this product now , as all capital expenditure on it would have been amortized long back.

Answer to that question would be the call taxis which use Omnis to pick up and drop passengers to the airport and so on.

Also, the Omni has become quite popular with Courier companies & companies looking to transport stuff intra-city especially with the CNG option since it's quite robust & the prices of spares is dirt cheap.

Introduction of the Estilo is starting to make sense-

Just see these figures-
1. Maruti Suzuki (WagonR+ Estilo)- 18,261.
2. Hyundai (Santro)- 12,990.
3. TATA (Indica)- 11,376.

Maruti has a clear lead ahead of the competition in the segment. Hope Hyundai can do the same with the i10.

I'm seeing lots & lots of new Omnis being owned by private parties in urban & rural areas. Above all, Omni is a robust, no-frills vehicle !
