Obviously, the sales of Accent is much much lesser than that of Verna.

Then does this indicate how badly Verna is doing?

<*Just my opinion/interpretation*>

WagonR become the 2nd highest selling car, overtaking Santro and Indica. I think the main reason is Santro customers opting for the modern i10.

i10 sells 3,414 units in the first month!

Bolero continues its dream run! Time for TATA to bring up its new Sumo?
AFAIK, Scorpio used to be in Top 10 till few months ago and Bolero took its place.

I believe Innova is constantly making into Top 10, its numbers are always far higher than premium C segment like NHC, fiesta, etc. Does it mean so many people prefer large car for family?

Sales of Scorpio and Innova also comprise Taxi and commercial uses. Innova is used by many private companies, and has no competition in terms of its ability to carry so many people in comfort.

But, Innova sales have always been in the top-10 exceeding those of NHC, SX4 etc.

Also, i remember a post by GTO (AFAIK, it was GTO), that a person who wanted to buy Corolla later went on to buy an Innova. Inspite of being an MUV, it has a certain status and brand image associated with it. And there is the added space, in-case you may need it!

And the ugly ducklings continue their run. Imagine my agony if the Logan also joined this bandwagon.

Is that what the website says? They probably mean bookings plus actual deliveries. I read on ET that Hyundai sold 6500 units in the first fortnight.

Off all the new kids on the block(i10, estilo, spark) the i10 looks the most contemporary and modern. This car is going to be a hit, and once again Hyundai has proved that though in midsize and premium segment it may be flop show, but as far as the small car space is concerned, it is a force to reckon with.

As for Hyundai India, more than domestic sales, its the international sales which matter, as the majority of i10 production (out of the 300,000 units/year) is for international markets.

wagon r after all these years in service still holding on to the best sales figure still may indicate the kind of reliablity the product has across the customers.the numbers were still good last month and no dead stock in maruti for wagon r .out of it wr lxi sells the most and duo has been doing good since its launch

Tata and Honda recording a dip is sales. I guess Indica and Sumo are well dated so the dip in sales is understandable but I am surprised that Honda took a hit despite having the most contemporary offerings in all the segments. Could it be that the NHC is loosing its VFM tag (did it ever have) to some C segment cars?

Any discounts in line for the Swift?

The sales are high and Maruti doesnt seem to budge a little by giving some discount to its customers for Swift and SX4.

The ones which Car-Agey posted were yearly comparisons as opposed to the monthly sales. I wonder why Honda took that hit.
