Re: Ford Fiesta Classic Spotted

^^Mustang : Will there be no 1.6S Classic ?
And one more question : how long do you think the Classic will continue before it is taken off the assembly line forever ?
I bought Ikon Flair in Feb2009 and now the model is no more in business.
Hope the same is not going to happen with the Classic?
And yeah more Q: hope there would be special editions of the Classic too !!??

Re: Ford Fiesta Classic Spotted

You can expect to see the classic for a long time now but you should not expect a 'S' version.

There will be no special editions on the Classic. hahah.

But may be if you drive in 5th gear on open roads at around 60kmph without braking much, you just might get there.
I have got till 18kmpl on my Ikon at constant 90-100kmph speeds in 5th gear.

EDIT: Ikon has a old ROCAM engine and Fiesta has a new Duratec engine, which might just be more efficient.

Re: Ford Fiesta Classic Spotted

Update - Ford Fiesta Classic launched today.

Source - DanceWithShadows.com

The price revision puts it bang in DZire territory but the earlier prices coupled with discounts were more or less the same.

Any ideas what's different among LXI, CLXI and SXI versions that've been mentioned?

Woow Fiesta classic with A/C, power windows and power steering for 5.90 OTR Delhi! This is indeed breaking news!!

The bar has indeed been raised in the entry level sedan segment. First thanks to toyota etios and now with the Fiesta Classic.

i am lovin it

This seems like fantastic VFM for anyone planning to buy the 'classic' model Fiesta, especially the SXI version.

Re: Ford Fiesta Classic Spotted

Good move on the pricing front by Ford. I am really toying the idea of getting a CLXI 1.4 TDCI.

@Mustang: Will there be any cash offers for the Classic (hoping since the CLXI is pretty close to Dzire ZDI) to dent some sales of Manza/Dzire? Answers would be really appreciated.

Fordmanchau, point well said, in fact even I thought about this for a minute, but if you actually see they would have placed it such that the price difference is something in the teritory of 1L. That is a bit too much stretch.

But of course there are people who would stretch, but that is the case even with Accent to Verna. Dzire to SX4 etc. So that should not be a constraint I guess.

If they are offering ABS and airbag in the top end version of the Diesel, then they have a winner in thier hand I am sure, Dzire and Manza will loose in this area. There will be fight at the top end variants in both.
Cos though the lower end variants are lesser priced, the top ends seems almost same price.

Abhi
I don't think there will be any cash discounts currently, if you wait 2-3 months then you may get a discount. I guess loyalty bonus will still be applicable though.

I am not able to find the prices of SXI trim anywhere. Mustang is there an official announcement of the price yet (of SXI trim). All wires are only carrying price of LXI and CLXI versions.

I look it other way. what would have been resale if model was stopped completely. at-least you will now have peace of mind for few years regarding spares and service.
Ford resale is already not good, if model was stopped it would have plumed into depths
