Thanks man! I am really thinking of taking the plunge now. Have alwayz loved to get proper sedan rather than half hearted attempts and this pricing is itching me. If only, the servicing bill nightmares are things of past.

Can existing owners (especially from B'lore) give me a first hand owners take?
Thanks in advance!

Cos though the lower end variants are lesser priced, the top ends seems almost same price.
+1. The price of top end is still way high. Probably Ford is looking at the sales of their low end versions more, may be for taxi fleets. I would have been really happy if they had provided ABS on the CLXi atleast as optional. Now for anyone who has a "safety" priority, they are forced to look at the top end which is still quite "pricey" !! Thats bad !

I am much happier that one more manufacturer is going the VFM route - This is LOVELY !! Also this should be a heads up for Hyundai !!

Phew... almost a 1.5L difference in prices between the last two trims. 9L on road in BLR for SXI. Almost same price as existing models. I am not sure if that will sell, especially if there is not much of gap between this and newer fiesta.

This thing shocked me also, But if it is on the site then it must be true.

The Sxi however does retain all of its existing features.

Re: Ford Fiesta Classic Spotted. EDIT : Now launched!

great! but some confusion in the website (happens with all new launches though)

Brakes section specify Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic brake force distribution (EBD) is Standard on CLXI, however, Safety & Security sections says its not!!

ABS should have been thrown in

Which means that the top end new fiesta Petrol will not be less than 9L ex-showroom, since Ford wouldnt want less than 1.5L gap between old and new Fiesta. Not sure if it would fall under VFM category anymore. Else if the gap is less, I am sure nobody will buy the Classic SXI model, as lower versions of New Fiesta would be priced at par with Classic SXI

Ford seems to have goofed up on pricing for this trim alone. Or maybe they really don't want to sell this trim

Wonder why Ford didn't bring in the 1.4 petrol engine back to the Classic line- would have helped pricing it lower too.

Re: Ford Fiesta Classic Spotted. EDIT : Now launched!

5.6 lakh for a 1.6 16V DOHC duratec sedan..what else u want? Sheer value for money despite its age. Feels more solid and upmarket than the etios though the latter has an edge on space, comfort and potential resale value. Thank god the 1.4 isn't there. The diesel should be now a credible alternative to the dzire and manza.

Re: Ford Fiesta Classic Spotted. EDIT : Now launched!

I am confused. The brochure and website say different things.

The Ford India website says the Fiesta Classic 1.4 Duratorq CLXi has ABS & EBD, but the 1.6 Duratec Petrol CLXi has not. Can someone confirm this?

Re: Ford Fiesta Classic Spotted. EDIT : Now launched!

Seems there is a whopping 1.5 lakh difference between the SXi and the CLXi variants (2lakhs SXi vs Lxi).

A person opting for ABS has to shell out that much more for other things he might not want.

Re: Ford Fiesta Classic Spotted. EDIT : Now launched!

Also there seems to be confusion about tyres. In specs all have 14" wheels whereas in styling sections it mentions 15" wheels.
