Concur with your thoughts.

I think track temperatures would be low resulting in better pick up due to the cold air sucked in & lower chances of overheating?

To the best of my knowledge, I dont think they close the track if its raining - then again - i need to check.

call the club office and check if the track is free. if it is free- then just landup at the track and drive.
but remember - dont forget the helmet- its for your own safety!

Not only Helmet, but also Seatbelts, decent tyres, Shoes and no loose items in the car on track!!
