Track Day @ Chennai on 4th & 5th Feb 2006- now with report out and pics

Hi All,

I have found somebody who can provide second hand tyres. I need to know the sizes required so that he can arrange them in advance.

Prices will be in the range of 3-4k for a set of 4. Pls keep in mind that these are old tyres - maybe 2-3 years old even, but have lots of tread still left. They are brought in from Japan as people there change tyres every season (or something to that effect).

need to know the sizes. and also if u want with rims, and also if u want used alloys or steel rims.

Guys,

Pls note that if u guys are arranging a separate set of tyres for track use, pls have them mounted on rims yourself. There is NO provision for tyre mounting at the track.

If you guys are buying used tyres, pls buy some rims also and have them mounted, and ready to change at the track.

All you lucky sods who live down south and in mumbai - You have all the supercars and the only two racetracks in the country -

Man, I really wish i could take part in this ...I am so jealous right now !!!

Well, i'll have to be content with taking part in the Noida MS Autocross this year.

Unfair I say - I demand that our dilli also get a racetrack ...but it wouldnt really suit the mentality of the the crazies that inhabit the NCR....

Have a good time all of you, drive fast , drive safe and get plenty of pics as well as some timings so we can compare !

I'll be moving to Madurai soon for work (will be shuttling between delhi and madurai) - Taking the Adventure along - so next time such an evvent takes place in either Chennai or Coimbatore , I'll be there ....

I think we can have the meet-up point at Koyembedu junction. Whoever's coming frpm the city can find me there at 8 AM on sat/sunday. Don't forget to bring helmets if u wanna drive/ ride shotgun.

Cars Session I - 10:00 to 10:30
Bikes Session I - 10:35 to 11:05
Cars Session II - 11:10 to 11:40
Bikes Session II - 11:45 to 12:15
FISSME Session I - 12:20 to 12:50
Lunch in Pits - 12:55 to 13:30
Afternoon Briefing - 13:35 to 14:00
Cars Session III (Timed) - 14:05 to 14:35
Bikes Session III - 14:40 to 15:10
Cars Session IV - 15:15 to 15:45
Bikes Session IV (Timed) - 15:50 to 16:20
FISSME Session II - 16:25 to 16:55
Track Close - 17:00

Anybody who has not attended a briefing session will NOT be allowed on track. So pls ensure you are present for either one of the briefing sessions.
