New Volkswagen Polo and Virtus arrive by 2022; prototypes are built.

Restyling will follow the style of the latest VW, such as the new Golf and Tiguan.

Launch of the face-lift will be between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022.

The hatch has the* code name VW270 and the sedan, VW271 . The upgrade project is identified as VW27X LA PA, which indicates the changes for both models. “LA” comes from Latin America and and “PA” from Project Atualization.

It is unlikely that there will be profound changes in mechanics, as the pair has two of the most modern options offered by VW in the country (the 1.0 TSI and the 1.4 TSI)

Regarding the equipment, it is likely that they will gain a VW Play multimedia center - which was left out of the 2021 line -, but the security items may also be improved as the same is available in VW NIVUS

What to expect from the facelist?

- Only petrol variant with mild hybrid , Diesel to be eliminated
- Corrections are being made to the front.
- Rear seems to have no changes
- Expect some changes to the interiors.
- Will arrive in late 2021 or early 2022.

The Polo spy photos make it clear that the model will face the second part of its commercial life with a number of improvements, for now, centered on the front. This part was harshly criticized when it was introduced in early summer 2017

the bumper does change, since it has been prescerated from the fog lights and its accommodation is completely new, as is the finish of the lower grille, now with a new honeycomb lattice, minimal changes that are shaped for now in the facelift of the German model.

So there's even the facelift to the next generation Polo coming and we're still being lollypopped with a new random edition with sticker work.

Looks like vw India wants to pull a new vw beetle type record with the Indian Polo of a single car running for the longest

Facelift of the new gen? Man! We're currently seeing facelifts of the older gen only! The 4m rule is the bane for all enthusiasts.

Details of the 2022 Polo:

Seen heavily Camouflaged, moves in the direction to a mini Golf.

Logically, and how could it be otherwise, the reference will be the Volkswagen Golf . The Polo's "older brother" tells us to a certain extent what aesthetic changes will be made. The novelties will focus on the front and rear. At the front the main changes will take place in the headlights and the bumper. Nor should we lose sight of the grill. At the rear, the most relevant novelty will go through the rear lights.

The infotainment system will be updated with a more complete multimedia platform. In addition, new materials will be added. In general, customization options will increase with the arrival of new body colors, wheel designs and much more.

The new Polo will be available alongside a renewed selection of engines. Gasoline will be the main fuel and the incorporation of the 1.0-liter eTSI 110 hp engine electrified with 48-volt light hybrid technology (MHEV) will be the big news. A 150 hp 1.5-liter TSI engine will also be offered .

Depending on the chosen engine, we will find a manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission

Will arrive at dealerships in 2022.

Volkswagen has finally decided to replace the Polo in 2021 with an all-new successor based on the MQB A0 IN platform in what will be an eventful year for the firm.

At present, the manufacturer is working on its Taigun compact SUV and the next-generation Vento. It is evident that the 2021 Volkswagen Polo would share a lot of parts with the Vento, an example set by the current-generation model.

Engine and gearboxes, suspension components, switchgear are all likely to be common, and being a Volkswagen, the new Polo should come with styling that will let the car age well.
