11111 kms on the odo. Heading quickly to the one year of ownership mark.
11111 kms in 9 months----wow, that is a lot of driving, compared to my 4000 kms in 5 months 20 days!
Gotta go on a long drive before 3rd service, but ain't got no time.

Not 9 months, pal. More like 11 months now. Got delivery on October 5th, last year, so the running started from then.

After a 2 week hiatus, mike is back on the roads.
Started right on the first crank itself, despite being inactive all this while.
Checked up the air pressures and it was back to action over the weekend.

The 1 year service is due next weekend, and i still havent booked a slot for the same. Looks like its going to get delayed.

Nice to have MIKE back in Indian traffic. Does <HE/SHE/IT> feel the same compared to <HIS/HERS/ITS> 2 week siesta in a protected space ?!

Mahesh, no difference at all. Feels as composed as it ever was.

P.S. : I prefer the pronoun 'he' for Mike.

Young_Icon, what color is your car?
Thanks for the nice comments, and i agree with what you have said.

Go ahead and post your experiences with your car here and also pics, will be helpful to others as well. Is your car all stock, or have you put in any mods?

Benny,

Last week I was going around in blr on JC road checking out few care care products and steel lock nuts for my new alloys on IKON.

JC road looks dubious, however Rudra suggested to check near Richmond opp. Lifestyle . This place is better( Car shringar and other shop).

I am now looking to add sport pedals, holding on to spoiler for a while...

First Birthday celebrations

Since i wasnt exactly well on the day, had to postpone the celebrations.
The last weekend seemed to be a good time to do some highway driving what with a trip to Coorg planned.

The amount of stuff one could dump in the boot was awesome, and the car served as the carrier for a lot of stuff which we took for the trip, including luggage, food and water cans for the mini picnic we had planned. My relatives and friends along with their kids were joining us, so it was understood that we would be carrying along quite a bit of luggage.

The car took it all in its stride, including bad roads, and also the steep inclines and stuff.

During the process of the trip, Mike completed 12,000 kms which is quite significant considering it was meant mainly for weekend use and travel. Looks like the kms munched along the Kerala trip as well as other trips we made along with the city run abouts werent really that small in number.

Here's a pic from the trip, taken in Coorg :

The first year service is now due, and i would be attending to that this weekend, something which i have been postponing for almost 2 weeks now, always ending up being busy with one thing after the other.

Issues to address? Not really, except the cabin light taking an extra couple of seconds or so in switching on when the front left door is opened. Some loose contact somewhere. Else, all is well.

Hormaz, this should be the last free service, i reckon. Need to confirm.
The car has been living upto expectations.

@Abhi, Riju : We didnt try the roads towards Kakabe. Since we had just two days, tried to cover as much as we could in Kushal Nagar as well as Madikere. Since my relatives and friends had their little kids also along, the itinerary didnt quite work out as we had planned, with many changes along the way. To explore the places like you people did, should do the trip once again some time in the future.

I wanted to spend more time at the monastery, but it had to be a hurried affair. Trip wasnt really upto my expectations, hence will desist from penning a travelogue.

@Riju, as for the broken number plate, its been that way since ages. Half of it even broke off by the time we got back to Bangalore.
