You can find the detailed pictures of the roof top bag here:

I had removed the bumper for fabricating the light mount brackets for the Hella 500FF and the LED spot lights. This gave me an idea to remove the under fender linings as well and clean up the under carriage. So with this extended weekend, I stripped off all the under carriage plastics and washed her down. Believe me with almost 78K kms of dirt and soil and pebbles, I never imagined the small nooks and crevices in the wheel well could accumulate so much.
Now tomorrow I shall remove the front wheels again to put everything back in place. Also shall fit back the bumper and start wiring the hellas and the leds. The work should be over by tomorrow evening and I hope the lights turn on or else it goes to the electrician on Monday. Shall try and take pictures of the entire process and post tomorrow. Meanwhile this is how it looks minus the plastics.

re: Tata Indigo Marina Dicor LX. EDIT: Now completed 80,000 kms

A month ago I had taken my ride to my home town in Kerala. Here are some snaps where you can see I am utilizing this car to its good capacity. In couple of shots you can see my kids chilling out as well. We infact made a "probably not what all consider best in class" crib within the car where my 2nd kid was sleeping while my wife and 1st kid was also asleep in the back seat. I couldn't click the pictures as camera phone was with wife who was deep asleep. Will try and take few snaps of that in the next trip.

Please do that. Its nice to see your car fully recovered and doing well. I have also made a modular sleeping unit in the back seat for the kids to sleep on long drives. Its basically a set of four cushions (like those aftermarket cushions that you get as hand rests for the rear seats) made to specifications. Two of them go behind each front seat and are flush with the rear bench. So the space is increased by about 35% and there is no risk of kids falling into the footwell while sleeping. but now a days I am encouraging them to use the rear seat belts while sleeping in a an upright position with these cushions providing the under leg support. But being kids they prefer sleeping flat out.

re: Tata Indigo Marina Dicor LX. EDIT: Now completed 80,000 kms

On Tuesday my car stalled right after it reached my apartment gate. My old faithful has done it again - reached me home safely and asked for help!. It hasn't let me down in the last 7 years. The security guards helped me push her into my parking slot. On Wednesday the car got towed and after some diagnosis found that the EGR valve has failed. Concorde Motors guys said they will get part sourced and installed on Monday and deliver the car on Tuesday. For those who get CEL turned on and there is some amount of roughness in the car idling or knocking (diesel or petrol) you can refer to this link below for some insight.

The more you take care of her the more she takes care of you. Can you please post some pic of the crib that you ahve made next time its in use.

My car has done 80,000 kms now after a recent drive into Burma over the Pangsau Pass or the Hell's pass. It is on the Ledo Stillwell Road. Travelogue coming up soon. It still feels good driving her on the bad broken roads and she handles it with aplomb.
The AC issue was solved as the resistor had conked off. Replaced it. Cost 290 + 100 labour. It had to be reached through the small opening after removing the dash clock.
Mods please edit the title for the odo reading.

Re: Tata Indigo Marina Dicor LX. EDIT: Now completed 80,000 kms

With the ongoing repairs and a potential trip of mine to the UK sometime between Feb end and March end (not in the Marina thought ) I had dismantled it. Will definitely send a snap of it in my next family trip to Kerala which would be in April mostly.

Btw, my car has come back. The issue was a dead EGR valve. The clutch assembly had also got messed up and so changed it as well. Now gear shift is butter smooth and she runs as smooth as my i10.

Re: Tata Indigo Marina Dicor LX. EDIT: Now completed 80,000 kms

During the last 2 months the Marina has seen a couple of long drives for which the travelogues are over due now. The marina took us to the Saikhowa National Park, drove the historic Ledo Stilwell road into Burma over the Pangsau Pass and this weekend a trip is being planned to Shillong, Sohra and the living root bridges and the caves.

Re: Tata Indigo Marina Dicor LX. EDIT: Now completed 80,000 kms

The car came back from a 2300km NE road trip. The age is showing up as had to get the rear brake shoe replaced on the way to Shillong and at Shillong had to replace the hose pipe. Apart from them absolutely no issues. Shall post some pictures here and also in the flog. Also had a dashcam this time and will upload the videos too. Overall once again very happy and satisfied with the car.

Re: Tata Indigo Marina Dicor LX. EDIT: Now completed 80,000 kms

During the latest drive across NE while driving from Jorhat to Shillong, I experienced a slack brake pedal while crossing Kaziranga. If I pumped the pedal it would come up otherwise the brakes would bite a long way down. Checked for the peaks but the fluid reservoir showed no loss. Finally, stopped by the way side repair shop and showed to a mechanic who diagnosed worn out rear pads. Asked him if they would be available and he said yes. Another positive of owning a TATA. Got the brake pads replaced in the fading light as Did not want to chance the Shillong road with slack brakes. Some pictures. Cost came to Rs 1100 for brake pads and 600 for labour.

Re: Tata Indigo Marina Dicor LX. EDIT: Now completed 80,000 kms

Today saw a modified Marina. I don't know if it belongs to the whacky and weird modified thread. I don't know why would someone remove the hard roof and put a canvas and enclose the main cabin. Might have as well bought a sedan.
