Re: i10 kappa sportz - 1 year/16K kms ownership report

It has been a while since I updated this thread.

The car is performing well. Recently(December 2014 last week) did a Bangalore-Nileshwar trip and enjoyed every bit of the drive. On the way back, the battery charging warning glowed up on the NICE road for about half an hour and then went away. Saw it a couple of times for 15-20 minutes again in subsequent weeks but it was not persistent. Finally yesterday, the warning did glow up and persisted all through the evening. Gave it to workshop in the morning and am being told that wiring and all is good and potentially alternator is the culprit which needs replacement.

Nothing else to report except that the tail gate panel has become lousy. It needs to be opened all the way up with a thump to make it stay there. Otherwise if you just gently put it up it tends to come down and bang on your head. This was not the case earlier. Possibly hydraulic ram is showing its age.

Re: i10 kappa sportz - 1 year/16K kms ownership report

I own a 6 year old magna 1.2. The car is in excellent condition and I am very much satisfied with it. I have not replaced anything in the car till now, not even the battery. I got a sony audio system fitted from outside market, which I want to change now as it is showing some issues. This time I want to have an audio system that fits seamlessly with the dash board, just like the factory fitted one. But it seems it is very difficult to get a head unit that fits in to the old i10 dash board without leaving the obvious after market feel. Is there any option in the outside market apart from the company fitted HU from Hyundai that comes in the Sportz model of i10 which fits into the dash board perfectly?
