On the highway, this late top gear also leads to higher fuel consumption lowering the mileage of the SUV.

I want to know if the DieselTronic will help me improve driveability by shifting to top gear at a lower speed (say 75 kmph)
Hello,

at what rpm do the shifts take place at both 50 and 85kmph?

Have a look at post #133 on this thread.

This thread is predominantly for technical support - price discussions will be kept off the forum.

Hello Karthik, AFAIK, The price is uniform across all car models. And the MRP of the dual channel box for all cars is the same ,ie, Rs 26000

Hi RD,

50 kmph - around 1750 rpm
This is at constant acceleration, but might upshift earlier or later depending on the speed of acceleration.

85 kmph - around 2050 -2100 rpm
Irrespective of the "speed" of acceleration, once the car reaches a speed of 85 kmph, it WILL upshift to top gear. The car holds this gear and downshifts when
a. the car reaches 77-78 kmph
b. we press the brake lever. This happens even if we are doing speeds over 100 kmph and just momentarily press the brake (which need not even decelerate the car). When the accelerator pedal is pressed again the car upshifts and then continues in top gear.

I would be if this upshift to top gear can happen at 70 kmph (1700 rpm) so that the car is more driveable.

With a tuning box theres a good increase power and torque from around 1600rpm and should see upshift happening earlier.

Thanks RD. I live quite close to Electra (4km from my home). Do you think I would be able to get my requiremens from Electra in Chennai? Is there by any chance a possibility of test driving the DT before buying it? Would you recommend the DT for the Endeavour now or wait for a more technically superior product that may now launched a couple of months later?

HI Guys,
Just Fitted the RD DieselTRONIC Ecu (2 Hrs Ago) on my 2012 4X4 Fortuner and i must say that i was Impressed with the pull i got when i was driving in the P2 mode. I am yet to try the P1 and the other modes, but i am sure am Impressed with the Diesel Tronic. The Only draw Back i felt was the the Indication of what mode the Car is in as i have to see the light blinker inside the Hood every time. Guys @ RD please do something about it because i am sure a lot of users are feeling the same thing. But over all Love the Tuning Box.

@ Race Dynamics

Do u guys have the 2 channel box Available for the fortuner and what is the difference in power between the both boxes.

Ashish

Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

Myself and my BIL visited RD office yesterday, met Sanjay and had a long discussion with him about the tuning box concept. We have planned to buy 3 units of DieselTronic box one each for a Swift , Beat and an i20. Because the connector is same for Beat and Swift we bought one yesterday and it is being tested on Swift now. I will move the box my Beat next week and analyse the performance improvement. My BIL has already come to terms with P1 and E mode of the box and is happy with P1 mode. I will update the perfomance details of my Beat next week.

Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

@Racedynamics: Can I fix Dieseltronics for my Sumo Grande MKKII with 2.2 DICOR engine? If I can then can you please let me know where in Chennai can I get this done? I sent a PM a week back and also mailed info@racedynamics.in, but haven't got any response.
