Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

Hi RD
Have decided to go for it for my 75HP Punto. I understand it should be single channel box for the FGT.

Can you please help from where can procure & install in Navi Mumbai.

DieselTRONIC is compatible with the verna, the unit will be a single channel version.

Hi Mendocino, we will not be offering the dual channel version for the Rapid/Vento. You can go ahead with the single channel version.

Yes, for the 75hp punto, only the single channel version is available.

Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

I own a Cruze AT, and would like to understand two things:
1. Does DT in any mode lead to changed gear changes timing, i.e, earlier higher gears?
2. What is the expected mileage change? Has anyone wih AT installed RD DT?

My 2009 Punto (75HP) is almost 45K in & I wanted to go in for the Dieseltronic box. What features would I miss out on if when I go in for the single channel version?

I'v got a Single channel box in my Audi A4 AT that iv been running for 20 days now and it doesn't change the gear changes, all i can say is that it gives the extra torque to push you back into the seat.. Definitely worth it!

I don't see much of a mileage gain cause once you get the box your foot becomes automatically heavy :P

Thanks for the input, however, I thought Audi A4 is also a VGT turbo and you should actually benefit from a dual-channel RD DT box. Why did you get a single-channel, doesn't the dual-channel DT box support the A4 maps yet?

A stupid question but do these tuning boxes need an AT car?

Do they work on MT as well.
An explanation will be appreciated

they do work on manual cars. in fact, its more fun and can be enjoyable more in a manual when compared to automatic cars

Then how does the economy mode work?

If the gears are not changed, it doesnt make sense.

Or there is only increase in the max power and torque produced ?

Raghav of Ignite Garage deals with RD, Petes and a few others. His details are in the Chennai directory section of the forum.

Hey RD,

Is there a DT box for the Ecosport TDCi 1.5 ?

If yes, Is it single channel or dual channel ?

If not, When can we expect one ?

Thank you
