Gents

I quick Question , my friend Just bought a FIAT Punto 1.2 Active . Although As per FIAT website, Central Locking is available, dealer has been telling him that the central locking is not compatible with 1.2 Active and give problems. Dealer agree that central locking works perfectly in Dynamic version .

Any ideas guru's If this is correct . IMO, The One for Dynamic Should work on Active as well , since the car has everything same , in terms of electrical's etc .

I remember a case posted by Bhpian that he gave car for wallet parking but while picking up he forgotten to take keys back. Since the hotel person was around, he could start by button press but once it stopped he remembered it... He had to go in another car to collect the keys...

I don't see any big advantage of it...

Please suggest good security system if any available with camera recording etc. or anything with good sensors. I am fed up with loss of my innova front wider (arm+blade) stolen last night from outside. And i10 RVM stolen twice from same parking place.

I have an immobilizer in my car, but the moment any door is handled mechanically, the siren starts beeping and the security system has to be disconnected and reconnected.

The ones leading the market are:-

1. Xenos car security
2. Autocop
3. Minda (Minda is one of the most trouble free auto electronics in India)
4. Nippon
5. Toyo (if you can procure and install in India)

I think Autocop is the best , as I am pretty satisfied with their service.

Earlier I had nippon and had to disconnect the unit as it malfunctioned and

was unable to find a service centre.

I have autocop installed on my Ikon. The alarm does go off if I try to open the boot doors with the keys. I have to first unlock the car before opening the boot.
But autocop as a whole is not really up to the mark as I have been getting some problems every now and then.

That is how it should work. The same would happen if you open the driver's door with key after locking it with the remote.

Different Brands Connected Differently - Why?

Hi guys,

I have used different brands of Remote Central Locking & Security Systems since the past 12 years. Most of them being from brands like Autocop and Silicon. I am currently using Xenos which I personally feel are the best security systems I have ever used till date due to its various features and value for money pricing.

I dont know if you have noticed, but why are some security systems connected in such a way that when one locks/unlocks the car or alarm activated, the hazzard light blink while in others, the parking lights blink? As far as I know, I think only Xenos is connected in a way where as the parking lights blink. All other security systems are connected in a way where as the hazzard lights blink. Is there any genuine and logical reason for this?

Also, after market security systems come with an additional speaker for the siren where as OEM security systems like available on the Hondas & Corollas use the horn as the siren. Also, when these cars are locked/unlocked their hazzard lights blink but when alarm is activated, the horn sounds and headlights flash. Why cant this be done with after market systems also. I guess they would save some cost on the extra siren speaker?
