Thanks. Its a very dark green - a shade and a half darker than the original. A lot of people do think its black - which was the idea
The bodywork and service, engine flush, oil change, K&N filter (OE replacement) was done at RAC, Koramangala.

Another comment - car feels very well planted and stuck to the road at 110+ - which is all I've managed so far. Much improved from the old hardened ZVTS experience in the recent past.

how was your experience with RAC? I'm looking at other alternative options for my lancer for small odd jobs like engine flush, bumper fixing and subsequently even paint jobs hence the question.

Cool so the car looks black at night and only under sunlight darkish green. Pretty similar to my car, although the colour is called black magic.

Woweeee... I love the paint job. I just love the colour. I remember seeing a Skyline with very similar colour (with a wee bit of gold thrown in) on cardomain. You basically see the greenness only when the sun hits it directly, right?

With all you've done, that car is as good as new. A very good investment of 1L, IMHO. Enjoyyyyy!

hydrashok - Thanks - u're being v generous in comparing the humble 1.3 with the Skyline Yes the green shows mostly directly under the sun. I'm hoping to drive her for 50k kms at least, and also enjoy the music while at it....

Thanks all! I can only hope you're not seeing more in the pix than there's on the car
@v1p3r - absolutely! Will be there - owe you guys that much for the enkei tip. @iraghava - they feel good too - esp compared to the ooold ZVTS set - noticeably quiter too.
@lohith - yep - I think I'l just keep this one as long as I can and save some moolah - hopefully the sensex will continue to rally and the next car will come just on the growth on what I've saved ) Why don't you come to Grips on Sunday too ? Bull or car, fun either way from Elec City - Mysore road, and then theres go-karting anyhow.

heartache - got into the car and popped in the CD - no aawaaz :( Tries the radio - the volume knob seems to be doing *something* to the HU, and it seems to work ok except for this. All jacks into the amp seem ok too. Hope its some minor thing when I go to AutoFusion tomorrow...

phew, that turned out to be just the fuse - thank god for that.

Related note - something does not sound good about the audio for certain kindsa songs - not sure if its poor quality mp3 downloads or something else - this is primarily for some bollywood numbers - the drum/tabla beats sound a little too thuddy.

What custom EQ settings do people use on Pio HUs? The install guys had setup "Loud" on, and have figured out (so far) that at least some songs sound better with this off and the EQ setup differently - done at traffic stops etc so don't really remember what the settings were.

And the ES100s rock. Quiter and wayyyyy more grippier - did between 120-140 on the NICE road yesterday with no issues at all, and hit 160 on two straights.

Boom - had given it 2-4 weeks, it lasted nearly 6!
Yesterday on the ORR while wifie was waiting at an intersection, and truck driver crawled a little further and left a heartache sized scratch on the rear door, and lots on the rear wheel - arch :(
Wondering whether to get it redone, or collect a few more battle scars before a round of plastic surgery.
Horrible horrible Bangalore traffic.

I'd suggest you to get it done since your car is newly painted.
