Nice Ricky, where is the timing case. Also, please ask someone in the work shop to cover the the throttle body and the oil dip stick stem in order to avoid any mud / dust from entering the engine.

Please also make sure that the guy who is putting back the timing belt knows what he is doing. The marks on the cam gear need to be aligned properly.

I would also recomend installing the timing belt before putting the engine into the bay. After installation it is little difficult to work on that particular area.

How much has the engine clocked?

All the best for the install. Let me know if I can be of any help. I am assuming you are having this done at Arush's place. I sent him a copy of the workshop manual last year. In case you guys need another copy let me know. I have an electronic copy of the same.

Cheers.

Thanks very much for the suggestions & the offer on the workshop manual. I have taken note of your suggestions & shall have it done ASAP.

The timing case was removed as the oil pump had broken in transit.

I shall bother you if I need any help on this. Thanks again.

I was told the engine has done 50k or so, but the condition of the internals, seems to suggest it is fairly low mileage / or very well looked after.

Cheers

Ouch, well I hope everything gets sorted out. All the best.

This is a Type II engine. Please note there are 2 different oil pumps available for this engine. Please check before you order ( I have mailed you the pictures).

I would also strongly recomend installing the oil pump before you drop the engine into the bay {not bay of bengal, engine bay }

Here are some WIP pictures. The lip of the bumper has been put in place..what say ???
I personally don't much care for the two small notches / fins in front of the radiator grill. I was thinking of removing them..any views ??

Are you saying "keep the notches" or "leave them out" ? As for the Subaru scoop...I would stay away for now & take a call after the bumper is painted..

Cheers

Are you thinking of the hood scoop like the one in the below link:
http://autoshow.roadfly.com/wp-conte...mpreza-wrx.jpg

OR like the older STI scoops that look like a big bulge like something placed over the hood.
