For memo, even something major as a broken header flange(during the baleno days) can be sorted out himself that too in the middle of bandipur forest!!

Just park car on a elevated piece of land, take out toolkit, get under car .. remove the entire center pipe and drive throughout ooty scaring the crap out of people.

This guy will solve absolutely anything mechanical himself

@vid: thanks vid it was nothing major was just checking the max the car would go till dry, for the 35liters of fuel I had filled the pevious week I had clocked a good 375kms including a real quick dash to Tumkur on Sunday and back and a couple of top speed runs down the NICE road.

@binz: dude I am missing my tool kit.

@ktlee: a quick "NA like feeling car" that took on the Rally Baleno's, 2 of them, but i give it to them that they were running on the dirt tires so din't push either driver to have a run.

On the recent visit to Mumbai We managed the time to get to KS Motorsports to dyno the car and these are the results form the dyno:
  • Max Output 133.1hp @ 5350 RPM(dyno)
  • Max Torque 135lbft @ 4200 RPM(dyno)
  • 0-100: 9.8 secs (V-box), roll-on figures are with RACE dynamics.

That torque curve looks great. This is wheel horsepower and torque right? amazing figures.

Awesome figs considering these are WHP numbers!!!

But dude you sure its 135nm and not 135lbft?

Im asking coz only lbft and bhp meet at 5252rpm, and this seems to be the case in the chart also.

If its 135lbft, that would make it around 183nm which sounds right for a turbo charged 1.6ltr engine.

By now im sure it is 135lbft.

Heres another sure shot way of proving it.

To cal torque at max power rpm, you use the formula (power in bhp x 5252) / max power rpm = torque in lbft.

So, (133.1 x 5252) / 5350 = 130.66lbft or 177.6nm

Now 135nm is only 99lbft, so how can an engine be produing a max torque of 135nm@4200rpm when it needs 177.6nm@5350rpm in order to produce 133.1bhp?

And we all know that engines never produce their max torque and max power at the same rpm. Torque produced at max power rpm is always lower than the max torque produced by an engine.

I am sorry it was a typo error from my side on the dyno charts it is 133hp of power and 135lbft of torque.

Awesome dyno graph there memo. Congrats once more. That figure means youre well over 150hp on the crank. 50% power increment over stock and thats holding rock solid to the redline! My compliments to the RD gang indeed.

Thats a lovely linear and usable curve, memo. Looks like the build is working to an optimum level.

Thank you MAG, that is only the street setup more can be done.
As of now the car has run for 9k kms, minor glitches but nothing engine related, no issues from the turbo, even went to the extent of using the car as a service car during the Nasik rally' then drove it all the way to Mumbai then to Bangalore adding a total trip distance of close to 2.7k kms.
