Also Congrats to the guys behind Project SX4 Turbo on a perfect install. Way to go
That looks like a R35 GTR.

Ok, now after close to 3000kms on the odo after the turbo has been installed, with 2 long drives and a upgrade in the boost the car is giving me about 12 for milege.
Did one drive to murdeshwar, covering just over a 1000kms over the week end with the boost set at 3.5 psi was fun and thrilling but on the way back the heat generated from the exhaust side of the turbo and the heat generated from the hi-speed/ac fan melted the fan shroud, so have to do without ac for now till the part arrives, so that gave us a chance to push the boost up to 7.5 psi and check the car out,a long drive to the CCD in gundelpet, bandipur proved to be a real fun drive but the lack of no ac was a little to tiring on my body.

Is your turbo overheating? Or is this normal heat only?

the normal heat, but the combine heat of the fan operating and the radint heat from the exhaust side of the turbo caused the baking plate on the shroud to heat up and melt the shroud, a new shield is being added to the package, the problem was found on consisting use of the ac on the long drive through the ghat section drive, other wise there has been no problems what so ever with the car.

That CCD at Gundlupet is quite a nice hang out place actually. If only the roads after it to Ooty and Masingudi were in good condition.

It is quite nice but its 200Kms from here. The road from gudlupet to Bandipur ( About 4-5 kms of it ) is damaged but the rest of it is pretty OK i guess.

Whether is overall or not, its a pretty amazing mileage for a FI car.

Especially if you are running 7.5psi or trying out the boost levels and experimenting and still got this one.

Fe, is pretty good on a Turbo, and as it is in observation, it can be improved by getting used to the turbo drive, and making effective use of the extra power.

FE shouldn't be a great concern though, unless the main requirement of peak power is reached, and car is safe and trustworthy to drive the way we want.

Great job

Ofcourse it is. Was asking so that it would be easy to compare with other turbo installations because as far as i know Psycho's car was giving Single digit mileage but i guess thats with more extensive mods and boost. Anyways i dont think memo is too bothered with the mileage.

Wow. Wish I was as lucky as you guys to have been part of this install. Or even luckier to have my very own turbo charged SX4. Looks real neat.
So, since its one of the first official kits for the SX4, does that mean we can go out and get it installed? Or is it going to take some time? And a rough idea of the costs?

Hi guys after some extensive reability runs and everyday running around, have some new for you all.
0-100 in 9.8 secs (roll-on figures are held back for the time being) was tested using the V-Box and the car has comfortable crossed 3500kms and also survived an auto-cross matching Rally Baleno's(novice class) times being driven in 2ed gear and clocking 1.20.xxx.
No changes have been made to the tyres/rims, and shockingly, the stock clutch is still holding up and the car is really quick to 170kmph, this is also the on the GPS.

Thought something went wrong yesterday when I saw your car parked at Adugodi. Didn't have your number to ask if you needed help but I was told that it was something minor.
