I would guess the lesser mileage is due to higher rolling resistance.

I'm wondering why a high performance tyre like neova is locking up during braking.

I would think, cause its a Super Soft compound tire, which just keeps biting the tarmac at every opportunity it gets?

Dont think it locks up completely, does it?

I guess, more sticky to the road, more resistance... makes sense that way, but 1kmpl?

The lockup issue is a bit odd. I've never seen Neovas really lock up like that, unless one tries to slam on the brakes, L-board style.

Yeah I am also confused about the locking up of the tyres. It must be the brake pads that are working against me. Even I have never heard of them locking up. Or maybe I slam the brakes.

Yeah am not sure about the mileage but yeah it would have contributed to the decrease. Grippy tyres can do that.

Just a pic of the sleeper on the hills of Munnar. She is 4 years old now probably time for a dab of paint.

actually, softer the compound or higher the grip/friction it can generate, the more force the brakes can exert before the wheels lock up.

LOL, Dont fish for compliments CD, at 4 years the car is gleaming and still looking like new.
Could you please elaborate more on the brakes locking up?
Has it gotten less frequent after the suspension upgrade?
Do you lock up in straight line or only when the steering is slightly turned?
Or does it happen when the surface is uneven?

I lock my tyres(G3 potenzas) only if I panic brake.
Hard braking during acceleration in a straight line when the front is lifting off the road a little also happens (most common reason for me). but my problem is the stock suspension and inferior(supposedly) tyres unlike you.

Actually, my problem is now much better after the Tarox brake upgrade, which goes completely against logic, but, it works, so I'm not complaining.
I'm hoping a suspension upgrade and better tyres will further improve the situation.

Has it gotten less frequent after the suspension upgrade? No, I cannot relate anything to suspension.

Or does it happen when the surface is uneven? Not related to surface, I mean am not referring to locking up on gravel or uneven surfaces.

Mohit, Seriously? Paint? That thing is gleaming.

Only one suggestion. Sporty Engine Grill needed.

Yeah I want to do something about the grill. But then she might lose the sleeper looks. I was thinking I would give her a fresh look when I feel she get a bit outdated.

Hey guys 140 is usually on the high ways. From here till Coimbatore its pretty good. The top speed testing is done usually on Krishnagiri stretch or Coimbatore bypass.

Sometimes I feel this love story has gone beyond obsession.

Just a small video of my car idling, with a fast road performance cam.

I was worried about my idle when I decided to go in for a performance cam. I see many guys who stay away from cams because of this reason. Cam is the best way to pick up more power from a NA fourstroke and should not be avoided for this reason.

A small clip of the exhaust sound, its mild with a raspy rally sound.
