If you have Camphor at home, you can use them.

Those are excellent neutralizers. Works best when powdered and kept inside a muslin or very thin piece of cloth. You can keep that cloth in one corner in the boot and am sure you will find it useful.

I usually don't use car perfumes either due to the obnoxious fragrances or for their site on the clutter free dashboards.
However wanted to give Yankee candle a try since my buddy Sagar from Keystone enterprises had them with him . I must say they're impressive .

The fragrances are subtle and exclusive . Not the regular ones we come by. I picked the black cherry and I'm gonna go back for another one once this vaporises .

This is the one :How does your car smell-imageuploadedbyteambhp1481045723.971819.jpg

I haven't hung this to the mirror as it intrudes my vision. I've kept it in the rear storage space beneath the Ac vents in the Laura .

Top Car perfume December-2016

Mod note: Please use search before opening a new thread. Thanks.

Greetings Team-BHPians.

I had my footstep into Team-BHP at the dawn of November month and this is my first post in here. Kindly believe in excuses if my question posted here is not in order of the rules or if the post do not belong to the concerned thread.

I am one among those who is heavily dependent, benefited and would like to contribute further from the posts and info in the Team-BHP forum. (will definitely share all the good things that happened through Team-BHP in later posts).

Lately, I was going all-round the city in search of a good perfume for my Maruti Suzuki Baleno Alpha. In one such primitive attempt, I have been through Rehaan's advice on My shaldan freshener and many other fellow BHPians who have contributed in the respective post. I've found the relevant post to be of 2011 year.

I believe our Forum must always be in quick & updated help to all the people who visit our forum for seeking an advice or help on automobiles. Also I feel many of us have upgraded ourselves with many other new upcomings in all aspects related to interiors.

In one such attempt, I would like to revive the topic of "The Best Car Freshener December-2016" for the well-being of our automotive freaks society.

Another thing is I would also appreciate inputs from everyone, specifying the freshener they feel is best or are currently using along with the places where they have purchased so that it will help the advice seekers to follow on.

So now, WHICH CAR FRESHNER DO YOU FEEL IS THE BEST? (In present market scenario).

Beautiful day to all.

I did try Whiteleaf and it was good. I think it lasted for about 4+ months. And I did exactly what was mentioned in their website once I was done with it. Opened the wooden box and left the activated carbon in the flower pot.

A fan of activated carbon now. So I have got a pair of Coco Natural Air Freshener from Amazon.com as replacement. Its very reasonable for the size and build. Lets see how that goes!

I get to see Areon Ken coffee perfume in available in amazon.in, flipkart & shopclues.

I suppose this info might help you with your fav car freshner. But I am skeptical about their genuinity, well you may have a clear set of rules to identify the original one.

You can buy from autofresh.in. They have a good reputation for selling genuine items. I shopped from their site multiple times.

Re: How does your car smell

Received the pack of Drivelong anti allegeric perfume which was suggested by my friend today. Awesome and doesn't cause any allergy especially since I am not very compatible with car perfumes loaded with chemicals. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is prone to allergies or doesn't like car perfumes in general but want to use one to keep the car smelling great

Re: How does your car smell

I am sticking with My Shaldan for the past 7 years [did a fling with Areon, but was to strong & was not fruity] and I am finding it good, especially the lemon or the orange one. Besides being available at other places, they are available at Spencers as well.

Re: How does your car smell

I have had some good experience which I would like to share here:

I had been using essential oils for a long time now.

Then chanced upon this honeywell car air purifier. Installed this thing in the car.

Within ten minutes, I could smell the essential oils as a mild fragrance, and then this too faded out. All that was left in the car was a very clean, odor free air (the ac was on).

Two days after installing this gadget, I happened to buy some fried stuff for an office party. The smell from this stuff was too heavy, but was very effectively taken care by the purifier.

Ditto.

I've been also using Honeywell Car Air-Purifier for 6 months now.

Since i live in south-west Delhi where one gets near/over a 'Nallah'/ sewage treatment plant/ 'Dhalao'/Garbage 'mountains'/ occasional black-blue smoke emitting two-wheeler or trucks laboring up a flyover every few kilometers in any direction, emanating highly disgusting 'smell' which any freshener/fragrance is unable to mask.

Using Honeywell Air Purifier does not prevent the above obnoxious rendezvous but the same dissipates within 30 seconds.

However, a fragrance can't be used with Honeywell as the Hepa filter will get choked with perfume molecules.

Re: How does your car smell

There was a oil spill from a pickle container which remained in the car fpr a month un noticed as we were away for a holiday. Got the car washed but the smell still remains even after 3 months, even tried keeping the windows down for a week but unable to find a solution. Kindly advice any solution.
